Do I need to eat to my energy needs if I'm diabetic to avoid gaining weight?

Asked a year ago

I recently discovered that I have diabetes and that I am overweight. Even when I'm not hungry, I have a habit of eating and snacking. I'd like to lose a few pounds, but I'm not interested in going to the gym. I want to try meal planning, but I'm not sure if I should eat for energy or to feel full?

The idea behind meal planning is to eat healthily. It's as much about the amount of food you take in, as it is about the type of food and the timing of the meal. Consider talking to a nutritionist or joining a community to help you plan a proper meal.
