I’ve tried a lot of diets before and always gain the weight back. What makes the Trim Down Club unique?
Many other fad diets show you how to drop pounds quickly, yet never deal with the root cause of gaining weight, and the weight always comes back. The Trim Down Club, on the other hand, has your goal weight and long-term success in mind from the very beginning.
Though many diets focus only on short-term results and never set you up for long-term success, the Trim Down Club is not a fad diet. We have a solution for nearly every situation you may encounter and help you achieve long-term goals from the start and then help you maintain. When you adapt to a healthy lifestyle, eat the right foods, and stick with the program, your body naturally adjusts as you lose weight. That’s what the Trim Down Club is all about!
No fad diets, and no counting calories, just re-educating yourself to eat right, so excess weight is shed.

Do I have to buy supplements or exercise equipment?
80% of weight loss is eating the right foods in the right way and just 20% is exercise. We have an exercise program that can be done anywhere, anytime, with equipment you already have because it definitely helps weight loss—and makes you look and feel great from the inside out, but many people lose weight on this program without spending grueling hours at the gym.
Likewise with supplements: our program is based on balanced, complete nutrition incorporating whole, fresh foods. We do have a few select supplements that we recommend, chosen by our nutritionist, which have met rigorous standards and criteria, for those who are interested—but it’s optional only.
Is this an extreme diet?
No, this is not an “extreme” diet; it’s actually not a diet at all! The Trim Down Club is a healthy, nourishing eating program that is based on lifestyle changes and eating the right food your body needs for fuel.
Unlike other common diets that are based on obsessive behaviors such as calorie-counting, extreme changes, and deprivation—meant to shock your body into dropping a certain number of pounds as fast as possible, without post-loss planning—this program is tailored to meeting your body’s needs for good long-term health at the right weight.
Instead of counting calories, the Trim Down Club gets to the source of the problem, which is what you’re putting in your body to cause the excess weight in the first place. We teach you to swap out foods that can wreak havoc on your body and put you in fat-storing mode.
While portion control is used in many diets, we incorporate the eating of “good” food that won’t leave you feeling hungry. Our program is based on the premise that when you feed your body the “right” food, you are not as hungry and there’s no need to deprive yourself.
Of course, with all foods, moderation is the key to being successful.

Can I still eat my favorite dessert?
We show you how to enjoy portions of your favorite foods using our proprietary tools—even dessert!
Though you do want to always be mindful of the portions that you eat, you never want to deprive yourself. So we set you up with the right way to enjoy your favorite dessert and still stay on track with a program dedicated to your overall long-term success.
Are the foods easy to find?
Most of the foods that we recommend are easily found in your local supermarket. We do our best to avoid foods that are expensive or hard to find, and all of the foods we recommend can be purchased online as well. Click here for an extensive list of shopping locations.
How can I save money while shopping?
There’s a widespread myth that eating healthy is more expensive than eating unhealthier processed foods. If you are worried that your grocery list will become more expensive, here are a few tips that will help you reduce the amount of money you spend:
- Try to create a shopping list and stick to it. That way you will not be at risk of buying things you do not need, and over spending.
- Always buy generic or store brands when possible. The quality is often the same—you’re just not paying for advertising.
- Find a good ethnic supermarket. The prices will almost always be better—as will the selection of meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, spices and other seasonings—than at your typical supermarket chain.
- Farmer’s markets cut out the middle man so you can buy very high-quality produce from the farmer. Go at the end of the market and ask for a discount on any remaining fruits and vegetables or bread.
- Plan your cooking to create leftovers. It’s easier to cook just 2 or 3 meals a week, rather than 6 or 7: you can freeze and reheat leftovers. You’ll save time, money and power. You can also go even further and cook for the whole month at once.

Short on time?
If you are short on time, or work all day in the office, the best way to preserve a healthy diet with a packed schedule is to plan ahead.
Here are a few tips to keep you eating a healthy nutritious diet during those long, tiring days.
- Pack a healthy breakfast the night before, that way when you wake up, all you have to do is grab and go. Try to choose simple foods from two or more food groups to give you a balanced breakfast. Examples might include: whole wheat bread, pita, fresh fruit and vegetables, low fat cheeses and yogurts.
- It is recommended to make a power-packed lunch and store it in a freezer- microwavable container ready for the week ahead. Some healthy options might include Whole Wheat Pasta Salad, or Brown rice and Vegetables, Grilled Chicken and Boiled Vegetables.
- Stock up on nourishing, on-the-go foods like apples and oranges, snack-size low-fat yogurt, raw nuts, raisins and other dried fruit.

What technical requirements do I need?
You need an internet connection, an email address, and a PDF reader. If you don’t have a PDF reader, you can download one here (hint: it’s already on most computers).
Is it safe to use credit cards on your website?
We understand your concern. We use ClickBank’s billing system, which is a reputable and secure payment processor. ClickBank accepts payment by major credit card and PayPal.
Menu Planner
When you list foods by weight, are you referring to cooked or uncooked foods?
It depends on the food: some are measured raw, and others are measured cooked.
In the Trim Down Club, fruit, vegetables, meat, poultry, fish, cheese and eggs are weighed raw.
Cereals and grains are weighed cooked, unless otherwise noted.
Please be aware that foods like pasta and rice double in weight when cooking, so for example, 100 grams of raw rice corresponds to 200 grams of cooked rice. Other grains such as barley, spelt, quinoa, millet and others triple their weight when cooked. (100 grams raw corresponds to 300 grams cooked.)

This is too much food for me!
If this looks like too much food, keep in mind that the Trim Down Club is NOT a crash diet – it’s a normal, balanced, customized healthy eating plan that will help you lose the weight you want in a sensible way that’s more likely to stick. Eating all these portions and 6 meals a day will keep you from feeling hungry or deprived and will encourage long-term weight loss instead of yo-yo dieting.
With that being said, you should begin to see a difference in two weeks’ time.
If necessary, you can change the variety in your profile to see less variety of foods in the menu.
Also, please remember to update your weight in the Progress Meter every week, and generate new menus, so that your meal portions will be customized for your new weight.
I don’t like these foods. / Why are there foods in my menu that I didn’t choose?
Below are a few easy ways to make changes to your menu:
To switch a food, move your mouse over the food and click on the pencil icon.

How do I get the most out of the Menu Planner?
Here are our most important Menu Planner tips:
- You can switch the order of your meals to fit your daily schedule.
- If you find you have significant amounts of staples or leftovers, you can eat similar meals on additional days.
- Go crazy once a week! Replace your lunch menu with anything you like, but remember to eat slowly and enjoy your meal. This may come in handy while on vacation or attending an event.
- This program is a way of life based on healthy eating. Ease into it if you need to, but try not to cut back too much on quantity, or any weight loss will be followed by a rebound.
- Sticking to the menu and not skipping meals is your best bet. Let’s say you gave into one little craving, don’t punish yourself!
