Does anyone know if exercising can help with thyroid problems?
Does anyone know if exercising can help with thyroid problems?
Asked 2 years ago
Hello to everyone! Quick introduction about me: I’m 40 years old and a mom of two beautiful kids. I suffer from hypothyroidism and I’ve been looking at ways to get some relief for the symptoms. I’ve heard that exercising can help with some relief, is this true? Looking forward to anyone responding.

With thyroid issues, I would say it is very important to consult your doctor. They would be able to tell you what exercises you can combine with hypothyroidism. Adding exercises into your daily routine can certainly help reduce thyroid symptoms you may experience, such as mood swings, trouble sleeping, and weight gain. I would recommend that you try non-impact or low-impact exercises that won't effect your joints too much. Body weight exercises such as squats and push-ups can really help with the effects of hypothyroidism. I hope this helps you!
