Do I need to set goals when I start exercising?
Do I need to set goals when I start exercising?
Asked a year ago
I've started the 7 minute exercise program this month and it's been fun. My sister suggested to start setting goals as I workout to help track my progress. Would this be a good idea or can it be discouraging if I don't achieve them?

Setting specific goals is helpful when trying to track your progress through a weight loss program. It helps you to notice and appreciate any little progress you may make, stay motivated, and make adjustments as may be necessary when results are not forthcoming. However, you must ensure your weight-loss goals match your overall health goals.
