To lose weight quickly, do I need to spread my carbs across all of my meals?

I was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and have been working hard to control my blood sugar levels. I enjoy eating long grain brown rice, but I've noticed an increase in my weight. I want to start meal prepping with weight loss in mind. Should I divide my carbohydrate intake across all of my meals?
