Do you need to stop eating after 6pm to lose weight?

Asked 2 years ago

I'm a 27 year old woman. I'm trying to lose weight and feel better about my body. I've heard that it's better to stop eating after 6pm to help with weight loss, but I'm not sure. Does it help not to eat past this time or is it just a myth?

The time you eat can affect how you gain or lose weight. Research suggests that you are likely to eat more when you eat late. Also, calories burn at a lower rate when you eat late, leading to fat tissue accumulation and weight gain. As much as you can, you should try to eat earlier.
