Is it necessary to use weights when I am training with the Metaboost connection system?

I've been looking for a daily exercise routine. My friend suggested I try the metaboost connection. She mentioned all of the wonderful benefits it has, which impressed me. I'm wondering if I can start training right away or if I need special workout equipment like weights or resistance bands.
