Hi, ldsidberry. Don’t worry too much about it. As long as you fit any fruits, vegetables, and/or dairy/substitutes into other meals, and you get more than 2 meals per day, you’ll be fine. If you find that you get the urge to binge in the evenings, please do repost, and I would be happy to work with you.
In addition, the following are some quick snacks – note that the liquid ones can also be “eaten” on the go:
• Fresh and dried fruit
• Cut raw vegetables
• Oven-baked vegetable chips
• Nuts and seeds
• Trail mix combinations of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit
• Sandwiches – good breads with nut butters, hummus and similar spreads, tahini, canned or smoked fish, cheese, homemade “cold cuts” from fresh meats, egg salad, etc.
• Whole grain or Paleo crackers plus any of the above
• Hard-boiled eggs
• Sliced or string cheese
• Cottage cheese
• Yogurt
• Milk (dairy or vegetal), plain or flavored with cocoa powder and a recommended sweetener
• Hearty soup in a thermos (2-3 food groups, i.e. meat or legume, vegetable, whole grain)
• Hearty smoothie/shake in a thermos (2-3 food groups, i.e. fruit/vegetable, dairy/vegan, seeds)
• Edamame or other legume/pulse snacks
• Whole grain or Paleo cereal or granola (cold in small sealable bag, cooked in thermos)
• Canned beans
• Prepared healthy foods in containers – from leftovers or prepared the night or weekend before.
• Homemade whole-food muffins or bars
• Popped grains, i.e. organic popcorn, sorghum, quinoa

I take my breakfast to work and eat it about 8:30, so that’s when my day starts with food. So, in 3 hours it’s about lunch time and it’s hard to get 6 meals in. I leave work and go the gym for 5:30 or 6:30 classes weekdays. Ant suggestions?

Hi, dencyfs. Our recipe collection is much larger that what appears in the Menu Planner lists, and even if the recipe is not in the list, you can still use it – if it is something straight forward like https://www.trimdownclub.com/recipe/shrimp-and-vegetable-stir-fry/, just make the swap at mealtime.
The reason we list items in the menu in their generic form is to give you freedom to do with them what you wish.
With regard to the process being time-consuming, this really is just toward the beginning, until you get a general group of foods that you like, and are comfortable enough to swap foods between meals and even days.

I’ve been with TDC for a few weeks but have problem with the menus. I need recipes. It says, for instance, shrimp. What do I do with that shrimp? There are not enough recipe selections. For that main reason it hasn’t been working. Also I know you can change the menu but it’s very time consuming.

Hi, Tmhite. Your menus are automatically saved In the “Apps” section of the site (link near the top left corner of each site page), you will see a link to your menu collection (the right-most icon).

Hi I just joined on 3/22/15. I am a little confused by the menu. It has things for me to eat on the menu but doesn’t give a recipe for it. It has me eating a soup and some muffins but no recipe when I go to the recipe at top there is a whole list but can’t find what they are wanting me to fix. Is there an easier way to find the recipe?

How do you save menus?

I see how to create, print, or change, but can’t seem to save them.

Thanks in advance.

Aaaaa didn’t see that before. Thank you very much 🙂 just join & love this community already. I wish I really can trim down my weight here 🙂

Hi, Putri. In the Menu Planner area, there is a link where you can suggest foods to add (link https://www.trimdownclub.com/suggest-foods/). Just be sure the foods are single foods (rather than combinations that would required a recipe). If you would like to submit a recipe, there is a link in the Recipes section.

thank you Ossie, wow that was fast respon 🙂
I did switch the menu. But I wonder is it possible to add more good stuff that is not in the list but I have lots of it in my country?

Hi, Putri. You’re absolutely right! If you are using the Ready-to-Go menu, I suggest you switch to the regular Menu Planner application (link in “Apps” above) so that you can select which foods you want to appear in your menus.

Hello, I am Putri from Indonesia. I believe we should maximize our local food from the fresh market and wonder is it possible for us to add more available items on the menu? Thank you.
