![]() | Hi, funkypod. Glad to read things are going well for you! Yes, sultanas are indeed raisins. |
![]() | Hi stll going well, can I use raisins in the same way as sultanas?? they are basically the same aren’t they?? |
![]() | Thanks!! day one is going really well, enjoying the food and not hungry in between. . . . . . . trying chicken soup for the gods later, it sounds amazing |
![]() | Hi, funkypod. You need about 1/3 cup (52 grams) of dry oats to make each cup of cooked porridge, so about 1/2 cup (78 grams) for 1-1/2 cups. |
![]() | How much oats and milk will I need to make 1 1/2 cups of porridge ( I am in the UK and struggling a bit with cups as measures!!) |
![]() | Hi, funkypod. Lemon juice and vinegars (as well as herbs and spices) are considered “free” and actually encouraged. Enjoy 🙂 |
![]() | Thanks for the answer, I went back to the menu planner and narrowed the number of things that I ticked to items I am more used to and reduced the number of new recipies, and so I got a much more approachable menu for the week. I am now wondering i I can use lemon juice or balsamic vinegar as dressing on things like fish and couscous without affecting the results? |
![]() | Hi, funkypod, and welcome. The answer to your main question is yes – the benefits of the Menu Planner application go beyond the specific foods and also have to do with portion size, meal composition (food combining) and timing. |
![]() | Hi i am just trying to get my head around the way this program works, but I’m finding the menu planner suggestions a bit obscure sometimes. However I am loving the look and taste of a lot of the recepies in the recipie section. My question is do the different meals work as balanced in a stand alone way, i.e can I choose any breakfast, lunch and dinner and 3 snacks that I like and combine them from the recipie section to create a tasty menu for the day myself?? |
![]() | That’s a great idea opera girl about getting tuna from the deli instead of the can. I will have to check it out! |
![]() | Hi Ossie Sharon. Thanks for checking that out for me about the tuna. No the tuna I eat is in water not oil. But if I remember correctly, the choice just said tuna, not in water or oil. I could be wrong though. I don’t eat it with mayo, just the tuna that’s why I was surprised not to see it on my menu choices. |
![]() | I hate canned Tuna, but I know that I need fish. Instead of making and flaking tuna, I bought a pound container from the deli. Then, I rinsed off all (or as much as I could) the mayonaise. With Sprouted Whole Grain toast, I made a delicious sandwhich. The tuna odor didn’t bother me! |
![]() | Hi, Rita. I’m glad to read things are going well for you. |
![]() | Hi everyone, I have a question for Ossie Sharon. I thought I had seen tuna as a choice on the menu. Now I can\’t find it? Of course I had gone out and bought a lot of tuna now it is never on my menu. Was this taken off/ and can I add it to lunch if I take away something else? |
