I just started. When I hit the application icon it won’t let me get to the menu planner. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Hello, Helenebean, Nice to meet you.
Yes the EAS has soy protein isolate as it’s second ingredient, water being the first. I don’t know if it’s advisable for us to have it yet, though. Please wait for an official answer. I would hate to be responsible for suggesting a product that would do more harm than good. My interest is sparked by convenience and familiarity. It could turn out to be just as damaging as all the other food i’ve been eating. Who knows? Let’s see what the experts say.

Does that EAS protein mix have soy?

Since I recovered from my bout with oral cancer, I’ve been left with swallowing difficulties. As a result, I’m quite familiar with smoothies. My go-to product has been a nutritional shake put out by EAS CARB CONTROL, containing 19g protein, 2.5m carbs, 100 calories; no sugar, no dairy, and a plethora of vitamins and minerals. The nutritional count is the same in all three flavors. To this, I add whatever fruit is in season, an aggressive squeeze of raw honey, cinnamon,a tray of ice and blend the life out of it. I usually drink it with my meal. It provides the required viscosity to propel the solid food. Can this be maintained on this plan?

Hi, Arlene. Yes, of course. You can eat whatever you want from those food groups. If you don’t generally eat enough different protein sources to meet the minimum number of selections, then just choose something else in that food group (i.e. some other fish), and swap in whatever you do eat in the final menu (click on the item you don’t want, an a list of other options will pop up), or just prepare whatever you want at mealtime.

I do not eat fish… I only eat shrimp tuna or scallops or crab. but in small quantities. Can I eat these instead of other fish choices?

Hi, quantum13. Definitely do not starve yourself. If all you have at home are foods that you think are probably not ideal, then just limit the portion size and try to dress the meal up with fruits or vegetables.

Hello, everybody
I’m just starting out and am woefully unprepared. I didn’t do my first shopping yet. As I’m sitting here checking out my first menus, with my coffee with half & half(I’m cheating already) on an otherwise empty stomach, I’m wondering since we’re not supposed to starve: Is it wiser to eat the wrong thing or to not eat at all?

Hi, Pat Aguilar. You can repeat menu days throughout the week, and stretch the “weekly” menu over a few weeks.
You can reduce the variety in your menu by specifying less in your profile (click on your name at the top of any page, and see the options near the bottom right corner).

I am frustrated because on my menu sometimes I do have to make a complete receipt which I don’t mind. but my question is every time I end up cooking a meal on my menu I only eat 1/2 cup of what I made or maybe two cups and the rest ends up in the trash. its a waste and a joke. what kind of advice do you have for me
