Good luck try your best, but if not you can always start a fresh tomorrow. It is hard at the beginning as I am only just beginning to understand it after the first week

Hello all you cruisers! I love getting on here and reading through all of the comments. I especially love letting my imagination run wild as I envision the different areas of the world everyone is from.
I don’t always get the chance to put in a response and join the conversation, although I would love to. I did get the idea of starting a new thread for Tips, Tricks, Recipes & Encouraging Thoughts. My thought was…when in need if we have one thread to click on we might be able to more quickly find that need 🙂
I hope this works and happy healthy eating to all,
Doryss
P.S. Please wish me self-disipline today as I am heading to my neice’s birhtday party which happens to be held at my favorite pizza shoppe!

Thanks in advance

Kate12 – Did you know that muscle weighs more than fat. Why not take some measurements around your bust, waist, hips and thighs and see how you are going. You said your clothes are not as tight – that says it all. Lots of newbies have said that it takes a couple of weeks before their metabolism kicks in. Stand tall, hold your tummy in and feel great.

11 lb down and 9 more to go, I am a happy camper! I have so much more energy, my mood is lifted, and my arthritis is not bothering me nearly so much. My hip still hurts if I rotate too quickly, but the no flare-ups for nearly a month. This may be just a temporary remission, but I don’t believe in coincidences like that! Anyone else noticing that their pain from arthritis is not so bad?

For this past week and have kept to a 1200 calorie healthy diet and used My Fitness Pal smartphone app to keep track of what I ate and the exercise I have done. I ran across this through our work fitness person. I joined hoping for a little help in addition to the My Fitness Pal app.. So tomorrow is check for week one of the 1200 calorie healthy diet or shall I say way of eating. I can honestly say, I am not as bloated as I normally am. In fact.. It has been noticed by others. Which makes me happy. I had my female organs removed 3 years ago and have put on 60lbs since.. I have made a vow to myself this year that I would figure out which foods will work best for my body now that my hormones are out of wack… Hopefully this year will bring good change.

I just happened to see this on the internet last night. Like many of you, I have struggled with my weight all of my life. Up 20, down 10, up 10 more. Such a vicious cycle. My husband is a junk food junkie. I hope I can get him onboard, as well. He is on meds for Cholesterol, Blood Pressure and GERD. I haven’t read all of the material yet, but I’m looking forward to reading it and getting started. I read how well everyone else is doing. I’m encouraged.

I can’t tell you how thrilled I am. Through a series of health issues and steroid injections, I gained 40 lbs in 5 years and just kept gaining. I began by checking my thyroid and found it was barely working. Getting on thyroid meds and hormone cream I hoped would help. Nope. I tried the dr’s suggested diet. Nothing. I tried a diet of a friend. 10 lbs in one year! sigh. Then, I began the trim down club 5 weeks ago and am now the happy loser of 11 lbs! Woo hoo!! I’m hooked! Don’t mind if it comes off little by little. In fact, I think it’s better that way! It is a challenge to find the products and do all the chopping and preparation, but I have found it easy to follow just by using the suggested menus and preparing some new dishes. It has really helped us.

I just started this diet a week ago, I feel so much better since I started to eat healthy foods. The challenge is to get my husband on board. He has diabetes so I know this will help him control his blood sugar. Slowly but surely I am convincing him this is the right thing to do.

I just started this diet. For breakfast I had oatmeal with milk and pecans and blueberries. My 3yr old liked it so much she ate it for me and is still eating it.

I started this program 12 days ago and have lost 10 lbs. I have tried diets for the past 11 years and have never lost this much so soon. I know the weight loss will slow down…may not even lose the next week or 2, but I feel great and so do my kids. I can’t believe the change in all of us! Eating many times a day is my biggest challenge. Unlike my previous attempts, this program doesn’t stress me out. If I don’t precisely follow the menu, it still works. I think the most important part is the natural food (and portion control…another challenge of mine!). My focus this time is healthy eating, not how fast I can lose weight. Surprisingly this is how I have lost the most weight.
