![]() | I just finished my first week using the Menu Planner and I lost 4 pounds. For the past 4 months I have been working out in the gym twice a week. Walking up to 5 miles twice a day and eating less than 1800 calories a day. During these 4 months I only lost 6 lbs. I admit that I feel stronger and have put on muscle, but on the calorie diet I was hungry all the time. With this program I am confident that I will be able to reach my ultimate weight goal. I will continue the daily exercise. I will also recommend the Trim Down Club to anyone wanting to lose weight the right way. |
![]() | I personally think the menu is why so many join, then leave! We have to get passed the menu and remember the label reading, and the food exchange! I would have 10 olives with something strange, I got over the weird combo’s. It’s really worth the time it takes to get this concept!!!! |
![]() | Contratulations to all of you! You are try inspirations. |
![]() | Thank you Lynn and congratulation to you Lynn on reaching your target weight, we’ll both get there as far as strengthening our muscles. 😛 |
![]() | Congratulations Anna! That is wonderful!!! I have had much the same sort of journey, and now, at my target weight, I still need to strengthen my muscles, so I know where you are at. This program changed my life for good! I am a year and 2/3 into it and now this way of eating is second nature. Thanks to Ossie too, and the whole Trim Down crew! |
![]() | Today is the one year anniversary of when I started the Trim Down Club way of eating. In that time I’ve lost 90lbs but even more importantly my life has changed dramatically. I have a life that I want to live, I feel healthy and happy and my attitude towards myself has changed. I like and respect myself instead of feeling a failure as I used to. Although at times because of health issues it has not been easy. I have a lot of allergies and working out a menu that would fit in with the foods I can eat was not as straight forward as it could have been but with the menu planner, I did come up with a perfect diet for me. When I did have problems with making changes as I lost weight, Ossie was on hand to help. Thank you Ossie for that 😛 I joined because I was increasingly worried about my mobility which was getting less and less. Some of that was caused by the gradual weight gain over the years, some by the pain that weight gain caused in my joints but the end result was that fear of doing anything to increase the pain was making me less and less active. When I joined the plan was to lose weight so that I could become more mobile and start to do the things I enjoyed doing again. Things like gardening and country walks. I soon realised that years of relative inactivity had weakened my muscles to almost non-existence and that if I wanted to be able to do the things I wanted I needed to exercise so that I had the strength for the gardening and walks. A year on I am still working on building muscle strength but from having a horror of exercise for it’s own sake I find I enjoy it and feel great afterwards. I am 71% of the way to my target weight, my BMI has dropped by 17 points, I am nearly at the point where I will be able to take the obese label off myself 😛 |

![]() | I have changed my eating with this program for a little over two months and have lost 22 lbs and many inches. I feel so much better but just have to get more active and exercise more. I have been experimenting with breakfast smoothies made from half baby spinach, strawberries, blueberries and chia seeds with banana or one other fruit of either mango or cantaloupe and it is so filling and gives me lots of energy. I just add ice cold water to mix it all up. Hopefully this is enough to eat for breakfast. I am hoping to lose 10 more pounds to meet my goal but will continue this way of eating. My family isn’t interested in the diet but I will go on with it on my own. |

![]() | Hi, SueHurst, and welcome. Don’t worry too much about the special ingredients. Note that many of our recipes just recommend healthy versions of basic ingredients, and among them are easy ones that indicate simplicity in the title (such as “Simple,” “Basic,” “Homemade” – so you can put those words in the search box and find what you need), as well as recipes posted by other Clubmembers who also favor simplicity and the familiar – you can find these in the “Delights from Members” section of the Recipe page. |
![]() | Congratulations, Blueberry! May you have continued success and health 🙂 |
![]() | Hi I’m so happy! I reached my first goal of getting below 200. I’m so thrilled! This program is one the best things that ever happened to me. Thank you TDC. |
![]() | I just joined and wish I had been able to see the recipes. Before I paid my money. Non of the recipes are easy and I will have to go out of our small town to find ingredients . I am disappointed…it looked so promising Sue |
![]() | Hi, Denise, and welcome! There are tons of folks here from the UK, and if you enter into the Groups area (link above), you may find a group that suits you. As for the conversion, do be sure to select the metric system for your menu – it is the far left area on your tool bar above the finished menu – and the following may help you, too: https://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists. Further, the following is a shopping guide for the UK, if you need it: https://www.trimdownclub.com/where-to-buy-uk. Any nutrition-specific questions you can post in these forums and I will get back to you, and any tech questions you can get help through the “Contact Us” link below. Best of luck! |
