Hi I have a question about the cereal listed. It doesnt come on my menu with a milk produce listed. Is that assumed ir is that to be eaten dry?

Hi, Di.wakefield, and congratulations! We also wish you continued success, and especially good health. The large size of the older recipes occurred in response to our client base from a few years ago, which was then made up primarily of families. Newer recipes are for smaller amounts, with the exception of holiday recipes. Many of those older recipes have a reduction function in the Comments section – click on “Fewer Servings” to adjust the ingredients list. You can also use this as a guide: https://www.trimdownclub.com/reducing-the-size-of-recipes/.

I have been on the plan for 1 week and have lost 6lbs. Long may it continue! Can I just ask why the recipes are for such a lot of people. I am cooking for two and am freezing the leftovers in portions which is fine. It would be easier if the recipes were for multiple of two, rather than three. Just a small thing I know.

Hi, Grammamusic. Just find something similar and choose that as a placesaver for your menu, then make the swap when it comes time to prep the meal. If you would like help with that, you are welcome to list the recipes you want here, and I will get back to you.

I’m afraid I tripped and fell last week. Probably because it was Father’s Day and my son wanted to treat me. How could I turn him down? Over the weekend I gained about 4lbs. Yikes! But I’m not discouraged. I know there will be some fluctuation in my journey and I also know that I have to be patient with myself especially if I fail. The weight loss just made me even more determined. I’ll lose it again and then some…. eventially. Like you say, it’s not a diet that you can fail. It’s a life journey to better health and the bonus is a slim and trim body. Keeping on trucking.

Nearing the end of week 4 and am down about 8 lbs. I found the meal combinations a little strange at first, but now I love them. I really had no health problems other than extra weight, but I generally feel healthier. Very happy with the program so far!

I have found other TDC recipes not listed in the menu planner but through the links down the left side when you click into a listed recipe ie Creamy Sweet Potato Soup. How can I plug these found recipes into the menu planner? (this is probably a tech issue)

Hi, Jab1957, and congratulations! We wish you continued success and good health.
With regard to the bar, it really depends on the ingredients. We favor whole food types, with minimal added sugar and nothing artificial. Special K Bars don’t really fit that description, but if you like cereal bars, try checking out the selection at a health-oriented store like Whole Foods Market or Trader Joe’s – that’s usually a safer bet.

i guess this is the right place. i started program monday, today is friday and i have lost 3lbs already. i am 58 and need to lose 100 lbs. really need support and results!! had a question about the “health bar” in menu planner.. does it matter what kind of “health bar” i don’t like granola bars, but i have those special k bars and love them. but they may have some bad ingredients. i have not eaten one this week…so need to check the ingredients. but loving the menu planner. just updated my weight and printed out another weeks menu. so far so good!!!

Hi, Ken. Food is part of the deal, but physical activity is also very important. If you have been on restrictive diets in the past and/or have been sedentary in the past and/or present, getting moving is key. It can even be just stepping in place for the duration of a TV program to get started. Anything.

I know this club is trying to change the way I eat. I tried for 4 weeks to loose weight with their menu. I followed the menu and even changed it several times.I have not lost 1 lb. Every time I get a e-mail from these people they are wanting to sell me something. I paid my money for the change hoping it would work. I usually stay with a program until the end. This time I am at a loss. So good luck with yours.

Thank you so much everyone. When I buy some new scales I will tell you how much I have lost. But the way I am feeling is what this is all about for me. I read somewhere (a while ago) that chronic inflammation can halt weight loss and I seem to fall into that category. I really feel that my body is cleansing itself by keeping the ‘clean’ food focus. To anyone else reading this – keep at it – ‘clean’ food will absolutely work for making you feel better – and that is worth way more than the number on the scales – I think anyway 🙂
