Hi, coops3. You can add low-carbohydrate vegetables to your meal – these include leafy greens, zucchini, cucumber, celery, turnip, kohlrabi, radishes, and green onions. If you make a salad, you can have dressing – but it is recommended to limit that to a teaspoon of olive oil plus some lemon juice or vinegar. That way you keep things keto-supportive but don’t overdo calories.

On my menu for tonight is Keto Zest stuffed mushrooms and serving size is 4 mushrooms. That does not seem like much food. What can I add to meal that will not jeopardize the meal plan?

When adding a salad to your meal, are you eating salad without dressing?

Hi, BCuzlsw. It looks like you may be better served by the personal version of the Menu Planner application. With that tool, you can select the foods and preparation methods to go into your menus, hopefully utilizing healthy recommendations in our downloadable guides. To take advantage of this, just click on the edit tool (pencil icon) at the upper right of each meal header, then make food choices from the searchable master food list. You will be guided by your meal pattern, which has been calculated to meet your nutritional needs and goals.

Hi, coops3. Yes, you can switch out anything in your menu. Just click on the edit tool to the immediate right, then select a replacement from the pop-up list.

So doesn’t watermelon and white potato have a high glycemic index and load ? These are on my menu. Can I switch it out?

Hi, coops3. The route that you’re on here is moderate in fat and low in carbohydrates. There are some starchy carbohydrate foods in your plan, but overall, the percent of energy from carbs is still quite low – about 40-45%, compared to 65-70% in regular diets. It is designed to support weight loss.
If you’re seeking something ultra-low in carbohydrates and high in fat, you may prefer the keto route. You can try that option by making the change in the dietary needs area of your profile.

Hi All, newbie here. I am trying to understand IF and thought it was supposed to be low carb and high fat. The menus I have seen thus far have carbohydrates for meals and snacks. Please help me understand because I want to have weight loss results.

Hi, Daisykat. Bulletproof coffee counts as a snack (our recipe is here: https://www.trimdownclub.com/recipe/keto-bulletproof-coffee/).
You can add half and half to it, but try not to go over 2 tablespoons or the calories will start to add up too much.

Does Bulletproof Coffee count as a meal? Or a snack? Can half and half be added to BP coffee and in what quantity to qualify as a Keto meal or snack?

Hi, carriepn. If that is just once a day, it’s fine.

carriepn 5 years ago

I do usually have milk and raw sugar, approx. 1/4 cup of 2% milk and 2 tsp of raw sugar.

Hi, carriepn. Coffee itself is a “free” beverage, meaning you can have it and don’t need to count it. What would need to be counted is any caloric sweetener (such as sugar) or whitener (such as milk or cream). Do you add anything to your coffee? If so, how much and how often throughout the day?

Hi

Can someone tell me if you can have Coffee, I tried looking in the beverage drop down menu but nothing comes up, even when I search
