![]() | Hi folks! I’m just starting this out as well. I put on quite a lot of extra weight a couple of years ago as a result of a “medication malfunction” by my doctor – she put me on a blood pressure med that turned out to have “rapid weight gain” as a side effect, and she refused to recognize this until I had seriously bloated. Since getting off that med, I gained no more weight, but I have been very slow to lose any of it. To complicate matters, I have some fairly serious back pain issues that make it difficult for me to exercise; even walking is at present limited. So I’m juggling some pretty serious health issues, and this program, recommended to me by my best friend, looks promising. I expect to have a bunch of comments and questions as we proceed, but for the moment, all I seek is your best wishes and encouragement. I’d like to have a bunch more years of life, and be able to enjoy them! Thanks for now; until soon! |
![]() | This is my second week on the trim down program. I couldn’t seem to lose weight and had trouble putting my socks on because of my big stomach. I have been on the program for a week and a half and now weigh 186.2. I weighed 189 at the start. |
![]() | TY, I think I am getting the hang of this:) |
![]() | See “Downloads” above. |
![]() | Where do I find the 14 day meal planner? |
![]() | Hi, jrhodes. It is good to read that you are not hunger on the program – very important. If you feel you need to cut back, you are right to start with the carbs. Do focus on proteins (especially in the morning) and fruits and vegetables. Save the larger meals for the days wehn you are most physically active. Also – and most importantly – do ease into the program. No need for any extreme moves (gradual usually means permanent). |
![]() | Hi, Judygab. TrimDownClub is like a diet, but the crucial difference is is designed for you to eat as you would at your healthy weight – not to cut way, way back short-term and then return to old habits. It is more like a retraining program. |
![]() | Trim Down sounds like a diet, albeit healthy foods. |
![]() | Hi, today is my first day and already it seems like there is too much to eat. I have read and re-read everything on the site. Thank you to everyone who has posted their concerns and helpful opinions. Here are my questions: What happens if I don’t eat everything at each meal? Am I really supposed to eat 1 1/2 cups of cooked oatmeal at breakfast along with an apple and almonds?! The rest of my day is ahead of me and I am overwhelmed by how much I am supposed to eat. If I am not hungry, I do not want to eat. Please help as I begin this journey:) |
![]() | hello judywb…You might not have lost and weight, BUT have you lost any inches as sometimes you loose these first then the weight. I hope this helps you. Love and light. |
![]() | Home-roasted/seasoned nuts are great – try not to burn them, and go easy on the salt. |
![]() | I just purchased and tried raw assorted nuts. Is it ok to roast and season them? |
![]() | I decided 4 weeks ago that I needed a lifestyle change. I am not calling this a diet as it is not a quick fix. Success is. Journey not a destination. Good luck everyone. I am down 9.3 pounds so far! |
![]() | Hello to the 2 Judies. JudyGab, congratulations! I hope you’re feeling well. JudyWB, because this plan is about retraining your body to be healthy are naturally reach a healthy weight for long-term maintenance, it may go slow, especially if you have been on diets before. Adding even just a little physical activity to your plan can help to give it a jump start. |
![]() | TRIM DOWN sounds like a diet. It has helped me to be much more careful what I eat and how much. I have lost 12 lbs. |
