| | Hi, Christy and Traci, and welcome! We’re happy to help in whatever way we can. Just take it slow, ease into things, and don’t worry about being “perfect.” Small changes can add up before you know it 🙂 |
| | My name is Traci. I am 50 years old, a diabetic and had a 95% blockage in August and had a stent put in. I have another blockage that is 50% and they didn’t stent. I need to lose at least 100 lbs and it feels hopeless. I have been contemplating surgery and recently have been researching a gastric balloon. I found this sight today and after reading I thought if I can make this work, it would be a much better option. Would love to hear some success stories and some encouragement. At the moment I am a little overwhelmed. Trying to figure out the next step. And trying to find the strength to make this happen. |
| | Hello, I’m Crissy and I just signed up for this program. I need to lose well over 200 lbs. My first goal is to lose fifty lbs and go from there. I have struggled with obesity all my life and am so done with diets. I am looking for a life style change and losing the weight safely and slowly in a sane manner. I know that it won’t be easy, but I am optimistic and motivated to make this program work for me. |

| | Hi can any1 tell me how to read the menu layout I don’t get the measurements and it doesn’t tell u how to make the meals |
| | Hi, Pamela Gunn. You can trade your almonds (or other nuts or seeds) for 1.5 tablespoons of maple syrup or jam. |
| | Hi I am new here as well. When the menu calls for waffles does it allow for butter or real maple syrup? if not what am i suppose to eat on them? |
| | Hi, Jackiee. I can send you a spreadsheet that you can complete to your e-mail address – it lists common foods, and you can assess your preferences and reactions. Send it back to me, and I will review it. |
| | The knee is doing well with semi annual injections of some sort. Toured Napoli on foot in December. When you are on tour is when the TDC program really gets difficult but I figure by keeping in mind certain principles, it is better than not know ing about them to begin with, so try to balance carbs and proteins at least. That is what is so great about being a part of this. You come a better educated consumer (eater). |
| | Thanks Sharon and Apenso, i appreciate the welcome back. Sharon could you let me know if checking for food tolerance can be done on my own with a little adoce from you or better with my Dr. I ask because visiting a Dr here is never less than a 2 he waiting time and can be up to 4 hours, so prefer to try all other options first. It’s good to always see your teplys to questions and it is good always seeing your supporting comments (you do make me laugh) on here too Apensa although I’m a bit concerned you can here me away over in America, as I didn’t realise my wind/gas was that loud 😉 . how’s the knees? I ask as a friend here suffered a lot and was recommended to cut out coffee, and it did made such a difference for her. |
| | Hi, Jackiee. It is good to “read” from you again. Sorry that your health is acting up, and would be happy to help. |
| | I have just started this program about a week ago. I have already enjoyed some recipes from the e-cookbook. I especially like the accountability I have with myself regarding the portions and frequency of my meals. It is nice to be connected to others that have some issues and/or questions regarding food and proper nutrition. |
