Hi, SkinnyLynn. Good luck at the doctor’s, and please do keep us posted. We would like to help you here however we can.

I’m going to the doctor again. This time I find out why one leg keeps swelling. I just found out I’m prediabetic so I’m really concerned.

Hi, SkinnyLynn. Welcome back – no need to be angry with yourself. Backslides happen to everyone, and at least you’re taking responsibility. As you may remember, our program is based on nutrition that is protective against and in dealing with diabetes, so you have come to the right place.
With regard to your leg, there are still exercises you can do, and exercise can be like diabetes medicine. See the links below for some ideas:

Beyond that, yoga and water exercises can also be greatly beneficial.

Well, I’m back. I’ve been diagnosed with prediabetes and having problems with my left leg. I’m devastated and angry with myself. I know what to do, but…I’m just stunned.

Hi, Trimdownkim. There is a Quick Start Guide in “My Guides” – you can access it by entering your purchases and downloading it. If you have any other questions, I am happy to help.
Meanwhile, I am forwarding your suggestions to the tech development team.

Reply to What Topic exactly? This is confusing and frustrating, having just signed up, it was next to impossible to start quickly as there are so many things to look into. For instance it has taken me 3 days and paging through these Forums to find out what “SWG” means on My Menu! The online program is not very “User Friendly” to someone who has not worked with this type of nutritional exchanges before.
Also, there is a “Welcome Letter?” You might want to include a “Quick Start Guide”. Thanks

Hi, lhillman46. I have forwarded your query to tech support. Someone will look into it and get back to you soon.

I see it under the plan menu. I highlighted the multiple green square. All it shows is the weeks 1 through 8 but no daily menu. It does show whether it is LS or LC in one of the columns

lhillman46. How are you even seeing past week 1? You mentioned something about week 7 and 8. I am trying to look ahead to see what’s to come and grocery shop.

Hi, lhillman46. No need to jump in headfirst – you absolutely can just ease into things, and make gradual changes.

I signed up 4/1 at night so it started me on that day. day 2 and 3 I had not been to the store, so I am a little behind on my menu days. I think I have the menu all figure out now, and have stocked my kitchen. However, I finally see where it went to LC, LS for week 7 and 8. It is a little overwhelming even after watching the videos. My question is will my late start affect the 8 week program goals…whew lol. I recently had surgery for hernia repair and 2 weeks post op. I still have some swelling. I am excited to have my menus done as I’m a poor food prepper for 1 person…thanks you

Hi, retired teach. Are you taking thyroid pills now?

retiredteach10 6 years ago

Hi Ossie-Sharon. I am on synthroid. I had lost 40 pounds on a weight loss program and kept it off for 10 years. Once my thyroid was removed I gained back those 40 pounds. Nothing seems to work for me now.

Ossie-Sharon 6 years ago

Hi, retiredteach10. There are quite a few people in this program with hypothyroid. Are you receiving thyroid replacement therapy? That can make a big difference. If you are and still struggling, please do repost, and I would be happy to work with you.
