![]() | It makes me happy to know that I have the support of like minded people. Motivation is strong when support is so readily available. A marvelous place to be. I appreciate all of you. |
![]() | hello dawnrosie. I feel you on the replacing the food. I went out and spent close to 200 dollars to get the stuff for this week. the good thing is that most of the things I got wont be used up all at once. Kind of like spices. You buy them as you need them, and then you have them for later to use again. |
![]() | thank you bellaloo. I will do that. Even went out and bought me a new scale. |
![]() | This was my second day of the program. It seems to me that all I get done is cook and eat, cook and eat, and cook and eat. I think I will need to do cooking for a whole week at a time, on Sunday afternoons. I chose the easiest foods and no recipes for the first week so I could get used to it, but making large salads takes a lot of chopping time, it takes 25+ minutes to cook my oatmeal, 40 minutes, or brown rice for wild rice, etc. I eat breakfast, cook again, and then time to eat a snack, and the same two more times per day. Does anyone have any suggestions to make it easier so I can get out of the kitchen once in a while??? I do feel very full, which is good. I went down 3- 1/2 lbs the first day. I know the first week is a lot of fluid, but it’s a good start 🙂 |
| Hi ginnerlou, just quickly, have you checked beside the “sweet potato” to see what substitutes you can use? |
![]() | I have just done my shopping and menus for the week. Baking and cooking this evening so I don’t have to do it everyday. I do have a question on my menus and maybe y’all do to (yes, I’m from Texas near big D), one of my meals has the broccoli cheesy potato bake, plus 1/2 cup of sweet potato. Isn’t that a lot of potato for one meal??? What are ya’lls thoughts on this. Thanks |
| Morning all…lovely day here in Queensland, but it is said to be getting very hot like the heat wave down south where the fires are. Gonna do a raindance soon!!! Haha! It seems that this morning the Texans are coming out of the woodwork! Good on you girls Any other Aussies? Queenslanders?? I too have not eaten carbs for some years…well stayed away cause they cause me trouble. My husband is a diabetic, so we have been learning to use low GI carbs for sometime, but really don’t eat many at all. I have been eating what I can get in the bread lines, but am in a bit of pain, as it is far more carbs than I would normally eat. I still haven’t found the real wholegrain foods, but what I am eating is far better than what I have done previously. So I will continue on with it and learn how to use the diet to my benefit. Harbourview, I have had to adapt my menu to what I can get too mate…and keeping it very simple until I get used to being on a diet! Heheh! I also weigh myself first thing every morning and after two days I have lost half a kilo….1.1 pound!!! Doesn’t sound like much, but getting closer to my goal of the first 5 kilos (11 pounds)I want to lose.Yay!!! Jackiee, I hope you can get your foods sorted there in Italy. Amazing how different the foods are in each country! I have no idea what some of them are, so have googled most things! The rest I can do without until I need to change something. Anyway, all the best today everyone…gonna start eating for the day!!! Bev. |

![]() | I like that about a smaller size in top of closet. And trying it on once a week… wonderful idea…Me and “THE SCALE” not friendly yet…. You said south Texas …. What part of south Texas cynt? |
![]() | I’m just starting this program. It sounds like a very well thought out program. |
![]() | I live part time in south Tx..as a Canadian we use it as our winter home! I DO NOT weigh myself at all..I put a smaller top in view in my closet and try it on once a week…in 9 days I have just put another size smaller in! It is working..I find the scale discourages me..just me but it has worked for me in the past!! |
