I had no idea this was international and everyone’s comments on all areas is SOOOO helpful. I have to get to Whole Foods and see what I can find here in NJ. You gals from Australia, I have an old friend who lives outside of Melbourne. Hope yet to visit her one of these days.

Good evening all. Hope you are well this evening.

Me not soo good. Had a bit if a setback. Emotions got the better of me and i ate food i should not. All i will say is hormones.

But lets pick up the pieces and move forward. How do the rest of you cope. I know for me i am an emotional eater. I eat when I am happy, when I am sad. I had too weeks of good eating and one day of bad. I hope the damage is not too bad,

GOOD MORNING JACKIEE…. 🙂 How I wish you to have a great day today there in Italy. Thank you, Apensa, and Seaborn for the wonderful words of encouragement.
Ginnerlou, I love your picture. And thank you on the Kroger advise. I will give them a try and see how it goes. I have been going to the central market here in Fort Worth for just about all of the things that I cant find near by that are organic. I also have seen commercials on the TV about Target having a pretty good line of organic foods there as well. I will give it a try and keep you posted on what I am able to find there. Farmers markets are also a really great place to get organic fruits, vegetables, and other things as well. And I am pretty sure that the local farmers would appreciate the local support from people like you and I.
Seaborn. I am so happy to hear that you are getting a great deal of rain. It may seem dreadful at the moment, but I can just imagine how beautiful things will be in about a week after it all stops. I hope and pray that the damages are not to great by the end of it all. I truly hope you have a grand weekend with the little ones. And I love the Idea of baking some sweets for them off of the recipes we have. This is the age where we as the adults in there lives can have a large impression on there future life choices when they are all grown up and on there own. I wish my mother would have taught me the important of eating good and how to go about it. But now that I am learning, I too am teaching my family. My 11 year old had a but of a pudgy belly but it seems that the past few weeks of eating well has made it go away. I see her more active and playing outside with the dogs and neighbor kids too.
Apensa, I am sorry that I have not read too much on you. But I did want to say hello and that I am pleased to meat you. Tell me a bit about yourself if you don’t mind. I did read that you have been to Italy on vacation. I think that is great. I would love to take the family one day to a great place that they will remember for the rest of there lives. Where are you from, where do you live, and how are you doing with the program? Thank you once again for the kind word.
Well, It is 1:42am here in Fort Worth TX and I am going to try again on getting some sleep.
On a better note. I have been awarded non serves compensation from the VA, and will be receiving a little over 1000.00 dollars a month from now on for my PTSD. I am so happy for this because it will help my family out so much. I am happy to know that I am being compensated for my suffering I endured while I was in the military. And the back pay will be a little over 4000.00 dollars in just a few short days. wooohoooo….! I love you all and I will talk to you all later on today. Take care all, and Happy Healthy Eating… 🙂

Good morning everyone round the world, How are you all doing?
hi Terryandmarg, sorry to hear you’ve suffered so much and hope you have a quick recovery. I love this program it has helped me so much, a little weight lose but I feel great, full of energy. I assume you’ve talked to your dr about this plan, because even if its only health eating you still need to consult with your own doctor too when you have health problems.
Hi Ginnerlou, oops I though you were austrailian….a bit of the mark there, in fact a long way of the mark….agree with your soap box talk…excellent…Good to see you Doryssb..how you getting on?…you sure are lucky having all the food items available, but I have found with a little more effort there are good alternatives.
Seaborn, I struggled a little with flour too but found Kamut flour and Ossie says thats ok too. I think, those healthiest are wonderful but if you have trouble getting them, stick to organic at least. RAIN, lol, you are always a ray of sunshine, seeing the exciting part of the rain fall, best to laugh than cry aye 😀 when possible but I do hope it doesn’t get any worse and it stops soon for you especially for Monday.
Ossie….I hope you come on here to check soon as looks like apensa needs a wee pep talk…. apensa, just curious have you completed your personal menu planner with the items that you like and are available to you….please give it a try…no point joining a program if you want to just eat what you did before….your salad sound yummy, but don’t think honeynut cheerios are good as ladled with sugars, ect…do you like porridge?….either way…remember what Ossie replied to you before regarding your sausage pasta…think that would apply to some stuff very occasionally but nothing will change for you if you don’t make the changes too. Good luck. The menu planner is designed to give you a nutrional balanced eating plan.
How are all the other UK healthy eating people getting on?….
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend were every you are all having it….I’m away to have a lazy family orientated weekend 😀

doryssb you got it right! We are neighbors. I’m from Texas, just east of Dallas. I, too, love our community from all over the world. It’s fun to find out where people are from. I guess we have it pretty good here in the US, when it comes to finding the foods we need. I’ve shopped at Whole Foods and found that Kroger here has a pretty good selection of organic foods, flours, etc. Just a word to those who want to exchange the foods listed in the menus – they are there for a reason. The way of eating as I like to call it is very healthy and good. My husband and I have been eating this way for 3 weeks and we can tell a difference in the way we feel. We are full and satisfied. Please try to follow as closely as you can with what you can get in your area. I know there are people who are doing just that. Anyway, better get off my soap box and check on hubby. Have a wonderful weekend and hey you Aussies! Send Rain!!!!!

Doryssb 12 years ago

Hey there Ginnerlou. When I saw the use of the word “y’all” I had to ask, are you from the US? I find it so interesting that our little community includes people from all over the world, and a lot of Aussies. I must admit, I love the Australian accent and every time I read one of the posts my head hears it in that accent!!!hahaha I hope that made sense. I myself am a “y’all” girl from Oklahoma.
have a great evening

Another thing I want to know is, are you supposed to feel hungry when you have your snacks. They are something I almost need to be reminded of because I very seldom actually get hungry. Is that because of the fat that I am carrying around my middle?

How about a real life critique of my eating so far today. For breakfast I had two cups of coffee….still sipping one, a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios, and my usual glass of Metamucil. I forgot to have a snack. At or around noon, I fixed a salad…my salads are legandary…with 3/4 of a Romain head, six mini peppers (red and yellow), 1/2 of an avocado, one medium tomato, 1/4 of a red onion, 12/of an English cucumber, a scant fist of pine nuts and a scant fist of Cranberry Raisins topped off with about 2 oz of sliced turkey (the regular stuff off the shelf deli sliced. For a dressing I used olive oil (the good stuff we just brought back from Tuscany) wine vinegar, garlic and herb packaged seasoning, a dash of red pepper flakes, ground black pepper and a dash of salt.

I would like an honest critique. This is an ordinary menu for me. I would have two EB eggs from vegitarian fed hens (whatever that has to do with anything)that are supposed to be high in Omega 3 now and then….fried in butter (I don’t care what you say) a couple of patties of Jimmy Dean turkey sausage and a slice of SWG bread and alternate that with the cereal but I worry about the cholesterol (175 mg) I’m very open to suggestions, comments or critisisms.

Rimini is probably one of the biggest beache area, it just blend onto to each town down up and down the coast but Rimini is a very popular one. I live on the outskirts of a historic town about 15mins away, best of both worlds really. I moved here 6 years ago but have piled on the pounds after stopping smoking 5 years ago and then having a child 4 years ago, both in my early 40’s so now I need to lose at least 20 kilos to help me feel a bit better going down the beach again 🙂
I do hope you find a way for this plan to suit your needs. I printed a full weeks menu plan off and then hit the refresh button on each item to see what it can be changed with. I saved all these lists on a documents too. This has given me a guide to what can be eaten together and changes ect. Good luck.
Well happy cruising all I’m off to bed, have a great weekend everyone.

Morning everyone….
Ginger I tried to buy the ingredients for the banana bread yesterday, but couldn’t get them, so I was going to ask the same questions!!! I can’t get quinoa, almond and brown rice flours.
The rain hasn’t stopped, the wind is like a cyclone….places are flooding that haven’t been flooded for many years…our dam is about 5 metres over the top…amazing. The river is flooded and some people have had to be moved from their homes to the community centre. It is amazing as we are on hills and the rain usually drains straight off to the river…but with the dam spilling over, and the high tides and all this rain, the river is overflowing well and truly!!! I thought the rain was going to stop last night, but I was sure wrong!
The Bruce Highway which runs down the Queensland coast is closed in different areas, so food items will be scarce on the shop shelves! They were rationing milk to one bottle or carton per family yesterday.
Anyway, everyone, got to go and feed the hungry mouths in my house!!! Three men!! and then we are playing scrabble, and after I might go out with the boys and try and get some good photos of what is happening….will put them up on FB. There is a pond at the top of our hill that I drive past every day, and today it will be overflowing!!! Exciting!!! Lol..
Good to read everyone’s comments…keeps me encouraged…and don’t stress over the menu everyone…it will pass and you will wonder what you were worrying about!!! Get on board and hava good time!!
Goodnight all of you…and hi to my Aussie compadres…we will be enjoying our wet, wet, windy day here…

Marcia, there is probably enough choices that you can find something to fulfill the eating criteria here. It is confusing though. People suggest I read a lot…..not one of my forte’s. I’ll have to get to Huckelberry Finn one of these days. I really would like to have them develop some sort of a guide where you put in a food you want to have and then give you a list of offsetting items to go along with that. Maybe that would simplify things more. I don’t know.

Jackiee, isn’t Remini a beach resort area? I think my daughter and family have gone there for vacations.

Marcia2013 12 years ago

To apensa, I agree about foods I do not recognize. Also I have lactose intolerance and need to be careful with dairy products. I need a menu planner that offers foods i can eat.
