![]() | I just started this program and would like to know if you can have popcorn? |
![]() | Saved, |
![]() | Good evening all, or afternoon, morning, Good to see so many newbies coming on board, good luck Athleen, Savedbygrace, pyampol & anitamariep. Pyampol, I too had a problem with items available but if you just select whats available to you on your menu planner and then just add more stuff, if and when you source them. How did you get on eating everything on your menu antiamariep. |
![]() | Thanks you Ossie for your input on the flours. I appreciate it. To all the newbies – welcome Don’t be too overwhelmed by everything. It will become easier to understand as the weeks go by. My start date was Jan 9 so I’m still learning too. Haven’t heard from Seaborn, hope all is well with them. Scary to think of 40 inches of rain in 24 hr period. Bet she feels like Noah! My menu this week consistes of 7 new recipes! Wow! Trying the enchiladas, oat pancakes, breakfast pizza, butternut squash clafouti dessert, basic omelette, black bean swg burrito pockets, and I have the beef stew in the crock now. Hope to find the swg tortillas when I shop. Going to Whole Foods tomorrow. Oh, by the way lost 2.2 lbs this past week! Going is slow but I’m not complaining at all. I know I have lost inches because my jeans are loose in the thigh area. Does anyone have a probllem with constipation (what a question to ask in mixed company)? I’m drinking my water and eating all the healthy grains. Could be the meds I’m taking. See you at the next port of call |
![]() | I just joined today. But plan on trying this. I have tried several others and stick to it for a while and then get tired of counting, whether it is calories, fat grams, or points. We don’t get grass fed beef where I live. They do sell some organic chicken and eggs though. I love all seafood, but my husband wants it fried only. Hopefully I will be able to follow the guidelines. I don’t really plan to start until next week because of helping son move and having to travel and eat on the road. But I am looking forward to it and will start with avoiding the 10 foods listed. |
![]() | atheen, you hit the nail on the head. Common sense and keeping active. I imagine that there are some that for some reason or another, it is not enough. I think you will find the forums and food ideas beneficial. I love the part about being analytical and cerebral about things…..I guess that is where ghe term being “anal” comes from…anyway, me too. I don’t know if it is a stalling tactic or what. |
![]() | Hi everyone, |
![]() | Hi All – Welcome to the newbies. |
![]() | Hi Everyone, It gets easier as you go. I am happy with the 3 lb. loss in about 2 weeks. Also my sugar is going down every day I stay with it.It is down 54 points. No wonder I feel so much better! |
![]() | re green tea, I drink it alot, the tea I have was brought back from russia by a friend, but i’m sure it will be available online through a wholefood outlet or a tea merchant, mines in a long tubular tin with dragons embossed on it, with jasmine, its absolutely delightful |
![]() | This will be my first day. I know I need to eat healthier, and needed help in that area. I worry about portions, as I don’t eat a lot, just not the right things. Also about the availability of some items, as I live in a very small town in the mountains of BC. I have a question about green tea. I drank it as a child, and it was green, nearly colorless but tasty. The green tea I buy now looks like black tea when it is steeped. Where can I get real green tea? |
![]() | OSSIE; I will keep these e-mails too but want to ask which forum would be best for Trim Down questions and answers per se? |
![]() | This is my 1st day on the program. Am I really supposed to eat all this food? 1 1/2 c oatmeal, 12 oz. yogurt, 17 grapes & 1/4 c egg salad??? What if I can’t eat it all? |
![]() | Here is another one for someone to give an opinion. For my birthday, knowing how much I love Italian Deli items and the lack of Italian Delis where I live, my daughter gave me a portion of Mortadella (Italian Baloney sort of) and some “fixed” olives (olive oil and spices). I have been using the mortadella with proveloni cheese on one slice of SWG bread, about four of each olives (green and black) as a meal or snack. How does that sound? |
![]() | Thaks, Ossie. Is it the butter itself or the portion of butter. Does using another oil with the butter sort of do an offsetting action? How about that butter with olive oil they sell or just some olive oil with the butter? |
