I’ve decided to have some Mahi Mahi tonight (fish, Dorado, Dolphin). Is there a way to find a matching menu that will compliment the fish and keep within the boundries of the program? I was thinking of having Knorr Cajun Sides Red Beans and Rice…yes, it is an off the shelf product. It has 320 Calories per serving, 40 from fat, 1g Saturated Fat, 540mg sodium. those are the only questionable items in the ingredience that I see. I also plan to have fresh vegies (carrot, colliflower, broccoli and bell pepper roasted in the oven. Looking for comments or suggestions. The fish will be pan fried in olive oil with a garlic and caper sauce (olive oil base).

I have been on this diet for one week and I notice you get a lot to eat. Sometimes I am stuffed. My question is do you have to eat the whole meal or a snack when you feel full?

Just joined. Got most of the ingredients with one or exceptions, mainly US products (site seems very US based).
I have no idea if I can do this and panicking slightly. Gave a wide spectrum of things I could eat and the first dinner they’ve suggested is below. It sounds as dry, tasteless and unappetising as the Sahara Desert.
Can’t imagine what my husband and family will say if I put this down to them and I’ve no intention of cooking different meals for myself.
Not sure about this programme at all.

1 cup of Steamed Vegetables
6 ounces of Low-Fat Yogurt, 2%
1 cup of Barley (Cooked)
3 ounces of Salmon

CHIA That weighing less often sounds good.

apensa: I’ll bet it’s the vodka 🙂
Just kidding. I do the same sometimes, but if you keep on the diet it will start up again. Once we lose all that first fluid that comes off so quickly, it does slow down, and that is good. We need to lose more slowly so when we have gotten to our goal we won’t gain it back right away – which many people do. Losing is easier than keeping it off if we don’t learn how to eat right while we are on this plan. I’ve been told to not weight myself more than once a week. That would help.

That sounds like a question for the experts, but I can see what you mean. I think however part of the aim is to always feel comfortably full so you are not constantly seeking some unhealthy snacks. But, my question is how about if you are constantly snacking on what they suggest? I weight 2 lbs more this morning than I did yesterday morning and really did not eat anything that is not allowed or much different than the day before…..still trying to get to the gym….LOL

I am on day 2 and am having a hard time eating everything. If it eat it all, and drink all that water, I will be constantly full. Can we limit the size of portions? I am only 4′ 11″, do i need as much as 6^’4′ person? Haven’t been shopping yet, so am just using what stuff I have on hand…not bad so far….

Thanks to all of you that have commented about my feable attempts to bring some level of humor to this rather serious situation we all find ourselves in to one degree or another. You really want to laugh? If you haven’t seen him before, check out John Pinnete. He is a rotund camedian that makes food and the result of eating it the center piece for his comedy. He is a riot!!!! His size will make you feel good. Don’t confuse him with Ralphie Mae. He too is on the large size. …………………………………………………………………………….Why do I weigh two pounds more this morning than I did yesterday???????????

Birdie…. Yes my food bill has gone up, but its only because I bought a lot of cooking ingredients, you know cupboard stuff and I did go a bit mad with the organic theme…..but its worth it. If we are going to start eating healthy to lose weight, we need to enjoy what we are eating so we can maintain it as a lifestyle change. I have failed on this so many times and its only taken till i found this site that I actually “get it”! I got most of my stuff from Sainsburys, no Waitrose here 🙁 Happy Shopping! lol

apensa: you have a good sense of humor 🙂 We need that to stay on a diet 🙂

OSSIE: Yesterday at the grocery store I found that Pillsbury has an Organic flour that says it can be used for everything. So, would that one be more healthy because it says, ORGANIC. I did buy it. Let me know. Thanks 🙂

Hi, I’m a newbie from UK, on day 4, and can’t find any stevia syrup. I’ve managed to get some ‘Pure Liquid Clear Stevia’from Amaxon but the ingredients include ‘pure grain alcohol’ – which is surely a bit of a sugar burst? Can anyone tell me if this is allowed or not? It’s a pity if not because it’s a welcome replacement to my addiction to honey in my herbal tea.
