I just joined last week and have not gone to the store yet. I am concerned because I am going to a conference in 2 weeksfor 5 days and am trying to figure out how to work this program into my life on the road. We are flying and so I need to be able to take my food with me. I will not have any access to healthy food, just “junk” out of vending machines. I plan to eat out once a day and have a salad for dinner each night. I am open to suggestions.

Goooood Morning all (afternoon or evening)
ksprietsma, welcome…I think it would be ok until you get to know this site better….here a message from Ossie (a Trim Down Dietition that was post last night)- ‘The intention is for you too eat all the food, but if you want to move some of it to a between-meal snack, that is fine too – you can also swap out those extra portions. For example, using the meal you gave, you can swap 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 6 oz yogurt for a slice of bread and ounce of cheese to have with your fruit at 10 am or 4 pm or whenever you like your between-meal snacks. If overall the daily total is too much, you can cut back on carbs and fats, but try not to cut more than 1/4 – you don’t want to be hungry and gorge later or slow your metabolism down.’ hope that helps.
Cheryl67-hyper positive attiude – love it…you keep it up
Marcia – brilliant that your weight is down…always great to hear new like that, well done.
Norunyan…good to hear your husband will be getting treatment to help…your be able to take soup in a flask next time.
Hope everyone is well and staying on track….remember if your not it fine to get way laid but more important you get back on the healthy eating soon and not let all you hard work go to waste πŸ™‚ happy healthy eating all….away to spend some time with my wee one before nursery and get a walk done.

Hello, I am very new and I have a question. Am I able to eat the same menu everyday? Obviously this will not be for long but just until I get the hang of this.
Also I am wondering about portion sizes, 12 onzes of yogurt with my meal seems to be a huge amount and I can never finish it.
Just looking for a little guidance.

Thank you!

Also….If you order Raw milk and you have a surplus that you won’t use within 3-4 days, you can freeze it apparently! There’s some good info on the http://www.hookandson.co.uk site.

I know I’m hyper AND ITS 12:40 AM….and whats puzzling my fella is that there’s not a cake, biscuit or any chocolate in sight!!! I’ve now got to try and go to bed or I have no chance of getting up for breakfast!! LOL

There have been lots of good posts today while I was gone! Jackiee,I walked up and down lots of long hospital halls.Do not see how any nurse or Dr. can be fat. My man has been diagnosed with myasthenia gravis. He will go into the hospital for 5 days for treatment and more tests. We are glad to find what was causing his head to droop.Hopefully,he will feel much better later on. I had my snack before we left at 11:30 but missed lunch.Came home, had soup and rye bread.Boy was it good.Do not ever know what will come next.

Hey all in the UK….. Just to let you know I’ve been internet shopping and found a this site that sells Sprouted Wholegrain Bread and lots of other foods on this healthy eating regime http://www.healthysupplies.co.uk I liked this site as it has good write ups about the foods, grains, flours, oils etc and was a good point of reference if unsure what things are or how best to use them. Also cornmeal, is known more as Polenta over here and is sold on this site, as well as normal supermarkets.

Also I discovered that Stevia Syrup is known as Stevia Liquid here in the UK and can be bought on http://www.amazon.co.uk. You can also find a lot of the flours, oils etc on there too. You can also buy Raw Goats Cheese on here and……RAW MILK…. mind you its Β£2 for 1L, but thats so cool, I am so excited……and you don’t even have to lug it back from the shops/town cos its delivered to your door!!!! Now I sound a bit sad don’t I LOL πŸ™‚ Hope this helps? Cheryl

OK for those from the NJ/NY area I found many items at Shoprite today including Stevia, various flours, and organic items. I know if I go to Wegmans more will be found. But I was pleased that my local Shoprite had a variety. My weight is down a bit and that encourages me to stick to this new life plan.

Hi, pyampol. The “realness” of green tea can be verified on the package – check out the ingredients. You should be able to find the real thing in any supermarket, but certainly in every health food store.
Regarding the food amounts, you can cut back on carbs and fats if you feel it is too much, but be sure you don’t get too hungry, especially toward the end of the day when you are least active. If you want, you can post a sample day here, and I can do a quick calculation for you and let you know if it is too much.

Hi, steventinasmith. 100% whole grain bread is good, too, if you can’t find SWG.

Sorry, maddistealfox – I meant milk, not water.
