![]() | Hi, Radisson. No problem! Thanks for the props 🙂 |
![]() | My apologies Ossie for mispelling your name. Shame on me. |
![]() | Hi, Library. In nearly each food category in the Menu Planner, you will see names of the recipes, designated by a symbol of a covered platter (and hyperlinked to the recipe). You can select them, and the application will automatically place them in your weekly menu, with the appropriate portion size. |
![]() | thanks Bev for encouragement. Its only day two and I’ve already made a slip up – someone offered me a Baileys and I downed it before remembering I shouldn’t! I’ll keep gpoing though. |
![]() | Hi, EthelJ. The various articles on this website explain about the foods and why they are advantageous. Many are similar to what you are eating, but tend to be more nutritionally complete and are better for balancing the body’s metabolism and therefore supporting a healthy weight. |
![]() | Hi, Roxxy38. If you want to use soy milk, do be sure to get organic. Soy is one of the foods where organic is genuinely important. Also, if it is cooked, it is healthiest, as heat denatures some of the “antinutrients” in it. Almond milk is a great choice, but do try for fortified or enriched (i.e. Almond Breeze or Almond Dream), and note that it has basically no protein (so you will want to get this nutrient elsewhere). |
![]() | Hi, Maurc. The posts are answered on a daily basis, no worries. Do feel free to ask any questions you have – some of the seasoned users can help you, but I can as well, as part of your paid package. |
![]() | pyampol Your Lucky there is a bunch of Health Food stores in Salmo BC. Good Luck and read all the messages especially from Aussie http://www.yellowpages.ca/search/si/1/Health+Food+Stores/Salmo+BC |
![]() | This is day 6 for me. I have not weighed myself since the beginning, but will weigh in on Monday am. I subscribed the this sige, and it seems with all the reading of my e-mails, and checking what I can/cannot eat, I rarely have time to do anything else. I am doing pretty good, so far with my limited supply of foods allowed. But will go shopping soon. Not sure how much I can find around here, and it is a four hour drive to a larger city. For the record – my name is Patti – I live in Salmo,BC, Canada. I just cannot eat all the foods listed, so have been eating smaller portions, trying to include everything in each meal Hope all of you are doing well…Patti |
![]() | Yes read everything from Ossie and keep your initial menu choices limited in number to simplify the shopping and the food prep process. As you go along you add or modify as you wish. It really works. I was on a plateau before joining TDC. Now I feel fantastic, full of energy and lost 4 1/2 pounds since mid-January. |
![]() | Ethelj — Hello and welcome. We all had those same questions in the beginning. Just keep posting your questions here and Ossie, the dietitian, or another member will post an answer. Just keep watching the posts and your e-mails. |
![]() | OSSIE: What would you say about Organic “SO DELICIOUS” (is the brand), Dairy Free Frozen Dessert, USDA Organic? Servings are 1/2 cup, 120 calories, 3.5gm fat, 55gm Sodium, 23g Carbs, 2g Fiber and 2g Protein. |
![]() | Clive, congratulations for finding this great site, stick with it and you will find your way around. If you look at the menu generated for you (they are listed in Menu History under Apps in the links at the top of the page) you will see beside the menu some buttons, one will send you back to the menu planner to choose some more items, the other will let you choose how many recipes you want and how much variety. Make sure in the menu planner you choose the recipes offered, and then make sure you have chosen to use lots of recipes, and you should get something you like. Then as you get used to this way of eating you will see where you can substitute in recipes that do not appear in the planner, based on the serving sizes in the online recipe book (the one in your downloads doesn’t include the serving sizes). Good Luck! |
![]() | Ok, just starting and I’m confused. The foods listed on my menu planner seem to be great, but is not things that I just have at home. Gotta go shopping but what is a person who is not necessarily privy to understanding what sw and raw this and organic that is all about. |
![]() | OSSIE: Tea is a diuretic, isn’t it? Isn’t that why we lose so much weight with some of it? So, I would think that by using the stronger tea, Wu-Long, it could be bad for us in as much as making us become dehydrated. We would be losing our fluids out of our bodies. It would only come back when we stop drinking the tea. Will you please explain this? I know that when I drink only 1 or 2 cups of hot tea, I urinate much more frequently. |
