Thanks so much!! This helps!! I am feeling much better about it now. It looks like so much food…I guess part of my problem has been not eating enough and not eating the correct combinations. Here’s hoping this time I’ll lose the weight and learn what i’ve Been doing wrong all this time. Thanks again!

Hi, Sunnydaze. The website is fully functional on all smartphones, and you can bookmark it so that you don’t have to type in the address each time. This ensures consistency in the service we provide.
With regard to the menu, we use a nutritional exchange system based on that used by dietetics organizations around the world. When you generate a menu (the first is generic, just to get you started), click on the “Exchange mode” icon to see the exchanges allotted to you per meal and day. These translate to the following approximate nutrient values:
1 carbohydrate exchange = 15 grams of carbohydrates + up to 3 grams of protein
1 protein exchange = 7 grams of protein + up to 5 grams of fat
1 fat exchange = 5 grams of fat
1 fruit exchange = 15 grams of carbohydrates
1 vegetable exchange = 5 grams of carbohydrates + up to 2 grams of protein
1 sweet exchange = up to 15 grams of carbohydrates + up to 5 grams of fat
1 free exchange = up to 5 grams of carbohydrates or up to 2 grams of protein or fat
We don’t work with calories in this route, but rather with meeting your nutritional needs. I can tell you that at your current weight, you are allotted each day about 180 grams of carbohydrates and 80 grams each of protein and fat.

I just signed up today and I am already totally frustrated! Is there not an app? Do you have to access through trimdownclub.com? And it just throws out a menu without giving you the amounts you eat without calories etc?

Hi, annerbee. Click on the circular arrow icon on the far right of the meal header, then select “egg” (preferably omega-3) three times. Note that since you are allowed to trade carbohydrate exchanges for protein exchanges, this will work out fine. We do, however, highly recommend that you have a fruit or vegetable serving with the eggs.

I am trying to use the menu planners grocery list and when I replace a meal or snack it wont show up on the grocery list. How do I make it show me what to buy for that new recipe?

Hi, Godslimza. You don’t need to physically add recipes to your menu – you can use them to prepare the foods listed in your meal. You can start with a basic match – e.g., “salad” or “Vegetables of Your Choice” – thenmatch up the exchanges visible at the end of each recipe to those allotted to you. You can see the latter when you click on “Exchange mode” in the toolbar above your menu. It doesn’t need to be a perfect match to work.

Hi, Godslimza. Just scroll down. The keto recipes are the newest, so they appear first.

When looking up recipes It only shows Keto recipes. In my settings the Keto dietary option is not selected. How can fix this so I am able to see other recipes that are not Keto?

Hi! I’m a bit confused about the Menu Planner. I understand that i have to put the items for each meal of the day but why can’t I use a recipe for my meals? if i can, how?

Hi, Steelz. Your menu is already at the lowest level, and I checked it to make sure all is in working order.
Have you been on restrictive diets in the past? This can sometimes lower tolerance for normal amounts of food. Do you have a particular condition that may lower tolerance? Are you physically active? The latter can also make a big impact on digestive health, not just healthy body composition and weight management. If you would like more guidance with that, please repost, and I will get back to you.
In the meantime, you can reduce the volume of food by swapping out some of the bulkier items (for example, watermelon), for more dense items from the same food group (using the same example, peach or orange) – just click on the item to swap, then select from the pop-up list of alternatives. You can also trade bulky carbohydrate foods like pasta for more fish, which tends to take up less space in the stomach (this you can do during food prep time, since the system isn’t built for swaps outside of the same food groups).
If those options still don’t help, please repost.
