![]() | Jackiee, as you can see, I was able to upload a picture. Thanks for your help. Thanks to both you and CHIA for complimenting me on my will-power! It’s nice to know you have friends who understand what you’re attempting to do with this program. I lost three pounds the first few days, but seem to fluctuate back and forth a couple of pounds. I’m hoping when my body trusts me, it will let go of the fat! My blood sugars are continuing to be great though, and that alone is worth the whole program! |
![]() | Can anyone tell me if it is possible to reduce 2% milk into a cramier constistancy? I’m trying to find a substitute for Non Fat Half and Half which I cannot find locally. I was wondering if slow heat with a pat of butter for 2 cups of milk would do it. |
![]() | Thanks Ossie, I’ll relook at the menu and se if I can tick a few more protene items. |
![]() | Thetod18…..me too. That is my biggest problem….eating regularly and often. I am a notorious meal skipper….I just don’t get hungry….ergo, the fat that is being stored around my middle. I also have a lot of problems purchasing, fixing and eating some of the suggested items. It sure seems to work though based on what other say. I have purposely not weighed myself in quite a while. I am judging my progress, if any, on how my pants fit. |
![]() | Hi, The Todd (is that from Scrubs?) |
![]() | Hi, Clark96. Whta are your physical activity levels? Have either of you been on diets before? What types? When was the most recent? |
![]() | I have the same issue I am brand new to this diet and have to force myself to eat 4 times a day let alone 6. I try to just snack on almonds and pecans just so I can say I had a snack. Between work and school eating 6 times is almost impossible. |
![]() | I made Quaker oatmeal in the slow cooker with water, milled flax seeds and a little salt. I know that the recipes on this site say use milk. I just added a small banana, splenda, sprinkle of cinnamon and about an 1/8 cup of vanilla soy milk. It was so delicious! Ossie can you let me know if this is a good example of a complete breakfast? I do not have organic yet, but will replace it eventually. |
![]() | stgeofun: Good for you 🙂 Keep up the good work! Being positive is a huge asset 🙂 |
![]() | Hello to everyone, |
![]() | Ossie thanks for your advice on quantities for my husband. |
![]() | Hi, SlimaSharon. Several people have indeed noted that it is a lot of food, often because they are used to diets based on deprivation. However, it is encouraged that you go with your satiety signals, and right-size your meals to your needs. Having said that, I would encourage you to be cautious not to eat too little so you don’t slow down your metabolism, and certainly don’t skimp during the early part of your day so that you are hungry and overtempted toward the end of your day, when you may be least active. |
![]() | Hello all, I’m only 5 days in to the diet but finding it tough to eat so much. I’m a vegitarian so the menu planner puts in a lot of yoghurt for protein I assume, which I love, but not 36 oz a day! I know it can be changed to an alternative but there is not much by way of other option for me as I don’t eat cheese other than 0% cottage cheese. I’ve actually put on weight since starting. I know its early days but would like to see if others have had same problem and what to do about it. I am unused to eating breakfast and thats been tough – I know its better for health but just don’t feel like anything so early. I have made myself though and hope to greadually change my eating pattern. I have had a bad cold this week so maybe not the best time to start a new diet. By the way, I made the lemon and cheese muffins which were delicious (a bit too delicious!), will make again and try some variations such as adding dried chilli flakes or swapping basil for corriander leaf. |
![]() | Good morning all, |
![]() | Another small success tonight…I went to a meeting and chocolate cookies were served. I was NOT even tempted! |
