Kjd1811 5 years ago | I’m confused. There are so many different variations of Keto diets. I thought Keto was supposed to be low carb (below 20g)? My first week has 120 carbs. That seems like a lot to me. |
Ossie-Sharon 5 years ago | Hi, Towdy83, and welcome! It looks like you’re off to a good start – I see that you generated a set of keto menus. You can ensure they suit you by swapping out any of the dishes for alternatives, and use the “Grocery List” tool to help with shopping. You can also repeat meals and even whole days as often as you like. If you wish to switch to our regular low-carbohydrate route, which we recommend after a while on keto anyway, just deselect “keto” from the “Dietary Needs” section of your profile (lower right area), then generate a new menu. You can read about healthy foods and habits in our searchable “Tips and Tricks” article collection, and get healthy cooking ideas in our searchable “Recipes” collection (both are accessible through the toolbar near the top of each site page). You can also take advantage of our “8-Week Plan” (link on the home page) to ease into the program, and get ideas for exercise at the ends of the pages for Weeks 1, 3, 5, and 7. If you are interested in additional tools, or have any nutrition questions, just post in these forums, and I will get back to you. |

AMIGOO 5 years ago | Hello, starting my second week today! How do I change my meal planner to reflect that it is my second week? Also will the second week give me more food options? |
Ossie-Sharon 5 years ago | Hi, Jbstreet. Click on “Exchange View” in the toolbar above our menu to see the calorie amounts for each macronutrient, which for you total 5% carbohydrate, 20% protein, and 75% fat. |

Ossie-Sharon 5 years ago | Hi, Qu33N. You can make the system give you three main meals per day, by taking the following steps: 1. Click on the “Exchange mode” icon in the toolbar above your menu, and take note of the exchanges you are allotted for each snack. 2. After returning to normal mode, click on the circular arrow icon to the right of each major meal header. 3. Once you are in the subapplication that pops up, you can build your major meals from scratch, using the meal+snack exchange numbers to guide you (ignore anything in red telling you that you have exceeded your limit, of course). It is recommended to incorporate the exchanges from the next meal into the present one – i.e., breakfast+snack #1, lunch+snack #2, and dinner+snack #3. 4. Since snacks cannot be completely deleted, to make a cleaner-looking menu put something simple in each of the snack menus such as “Vegetables of Your Choice” |
