![]() | Hi everyone! stgeofun: Thanks for the advice, I have been on fish oil supplements for a long time. Like I said before I was not eating properly, not enough fruits, veggies, milk products and cereals with fibers. Also, I was eating too many eggs. I will have other tests when I come back from Florida at the end of April. I should be OK by then. vegefarmer: Good decision! Any step in the right direction counts you will not regret this. |
![]() | Hi, Vegefarmer. Just stick to whole, fresh, unprocessed foods, and don’t worry about those that you can’t find. The program is about much, much more than those small details. Like the others said, you are on the right track. |
![]() | Radisson….I don’t know what Trim Down thinks of this, but my doctor put me on fish oil. I take (2) 1000 mg capsuls twice a day. Within three months my cholesterol level had dropped over 100 points! I would dare not take it! You might want to try it. bje…the curry recipe is a Trim Down recipe (Fish curry). I use salmon, but any fish will do. I have only had quinou a couple of times and they were both in good salads, however, I just cooked some and ate it plain with the fish curry over it. It wa really good! It has taken me five weeks to lose five pounds. The first week I dropped three, then kept fluctuating back and forth for another week, then about two weeks later another pound came off. It has been very slow for me, but if I could lose just one pound per week, that would be 52 pounds at the end of the year! I would be happy with that! lol The biggest plus for me about this plan is it is so satisfying and I’m not even tempted to go for “goodies”. Today when I did my two mile walk, I discovered that I was back to my 20 minute mile. I use to walk four miles every other day, but got sick last January for three weeks, and started out just doing 2 miles. But I was really slow, now that I have my speed back up, I’m going to try three miles on Friday. vegefarmer…you have the hardest part already licked! Determination! Good for you. If you stick to better choices, you can’t help but feel better and will see the results. We all lose at different rates…I happen to be one of the slower ones to lose, but I figure it’s going in the right direction, so I’m happy to continue the program. Good luck to you. It takes a few weeks getting comfortable with the foods and recipes, but I have been pleasantly surprised! |
![]() | vegefarmer: Good for you! Keep that attitude and you will go far 🙂 |
![]() | Today is my 2nd day, I struggle with not being able to purchase the ingredients in the recipes. I live in a very small rural district called Riwaka and our nearest shopping center is very small and quite limited in what they stock, however although at first I thought, darn this …… Cancell my membership…… I have decided to really give it a go and substituting lots of things to the nearest I can. |
![]() | manda23: Tommorow will be my second week choosing healthier foods and eating more consistently. I’am a size 20 on the bottom, half of me and 2XL on top.In this program you will feel the difference in energy, sleeping better, and just feeling more alive and alert on the Trim Down Club. I’am so… thankful for the menu and the community; which both are very encouraging. It is a great deal!!! |
![]() | Hi everyone, hope you are all well and eating healthy… sorry haven’t been on, but I have been reading my emails when possible. Just want to say, jumped on the scales today..down another 1\2 kilo so that make 5 kilos…YIPEEE have made my first target and promptly went shopping for my new walking trainers…..and even got a good pair in the final sales…extra bonus that my first goal treat didn’t cost a packet….now that me on my second target another 5 kilos, wish me luck 😉 |
![]() | I have discovered by eating Korean food that everything is better with garlic, red pepper and ginger on or in it. That definitely includes fish and salad (Kim Chi contains those spices on Sauer kraut) Kim Chi contains a lot of salt just as do pickles the process of making them is sort of similiar |
![]() | stgeofun I’am spending a lot of time on this too, but as I learn to apply this program to my life I’m sure it will become more natural and need less time on it. Congrats on your new grandbaby coming!!!!!!!!! I also eat leftovers, but I don’t keep cooking until there gone. I will freeze them if this gets too unanamous. I dont know if I spelled that word right. lol |
![]() | stgeofun What is your curry recipe, I really need something to help my fish. Plus the quinoa recipe? I use Cod or Atlantic Perch. I did buy lemon peel for it, but that’s all I have. I started this club on Feb. 20th. I guess it hasn’t been three weeks yet. When did you first see results? |
![]() | stgeofun: Congratulations for your weight loss, you are on the right track. |
![]() | Bje…I started this program on January 28. It took me about a week to clear my cupboards of foods that aren’t the healthiest and to restock with the recommended foods from this program. I was hoping to lose a little faster, but I didn’t put the weight on over night, so I guess as long as it’s going in the right direction, I need to be patient. Patience is not one of my better traits! lol I really like the foods. Tonight I made quinoa and put my fish curry over it! It was delicious! I bought some Atlantic salmon by mistake (I prefer Pacific salmon), and when I read the fish recipe for fish curry, that was just what I needed. It’s one of my favorite dishes. Radisson, thanks for your suggestions. You don’t think Canadian Bacon is ok? I have seen it on a lot of diets. It really is a lean meat, and use just a little of it to give the recipe some zing! lol Bev & Jackie…how are the two of you doing. Bev, I heard about this website called nomask.com. It’s an alternative to the mask you have to wear for your sleep apnea. I have not looked at the sight, but I thought I’d pass that on to you. Well, I better go record my food for the day and report my exercise. I exercised at the gym today, but the greater exercise, was exercising my brain!!!! I had to get my papers together to send to my accountant for TAXES! YUK! I hate that job, but I’m grateful it only happens once a year! lol Now I’m ready for a good week, so here’s hoping all of you have a great one too! |
![]() | Hi, Marcia. The Trim Down Club will be coming out with a collection of popular Passover recipes in time for the holiday. |
![]() | I am asking once again to one and all again. Is anyone else Jewish and what substitutes are suggested during Passover? Besides that I will be in rehab recovering from hip replacement surgery. |
![]() | stgeofun: Congratulations to you for losing 5 lbs. I’m just curious, how long have you been in the club and eating healthier? This is my 3rd week in the club and what a wonderful difference it is making on how I feel everyday. With actually eating more than once a day and making healthier choices, my body is thanking me!!!!! I used to have a half pot of coffee with sweetened creamer and cigs. for breakfast, then eat in the afternoon. When I felt shaky and sick. Now I’m eating a good breakfast having one small cup of coffee, and ready to eat again a couple hours later. Thank-you Trim Down Club for giving me healthy info. and food ideas. I think I was afraid to eat much before because I did’nt want to get heavier than I’am, but the thing is I still kept the weight on. I just got a scale, hope I’m going to see good results. |
