Hi, Efriday. Be sure that “keto” is selected in the “Dietary Needs” are of your profile, then generate a new menu.

Hello, I’m brand new as of today and looking around trying to get a feel for the site. My menu doesn’t look like keto should I change anything to be sure it’s low carb for keto?

Hi, Mariegrahamacracker. Of course! I would recommend to replace them with something from the same food group (e.g., fatty fish here, such as salmon).

There are certain foods that I just don’t ever purchase i.e., mussels. Can I remove these types of foods from my menu? If so, I would need to know how to do this. Thank you

Hi, Mellissab1. The easiest way to master it is to understand the exchange system, which is much like that used by diabetes and dietetics associations. To see the exchanges allotted to you, just click on the “Exchange View” button above your menu. Then you can just substitute another recipe in our collection that has exchanges similar to those in the dish you don’t want (it doesn’t have to be a perfect match), or substitute for something else – see the exchange lists here: https://www.trimdownclub.comm/exchange-lists. For example, you can just have two pieces of toast with a little butter plus an egg instead of the quiche or pizza.

Hi, Mariegrahamacracker. Yes, you can use just two eggs, and reduce the olive oil to one teaspoon. I hope that helps. Please let me know if you need more adjustments.

I am having a hard time figuring out how to find the master menu. I tried to change a veg omlet & it only let me choose a veg pizza. Help!

Greetings, My first day and love the ready made menus with options but had a hard time eating all three eggs in the bacon and egg omelet for breakfast and felt kind of sick to my stomach from all the fats so I will choose another option tomorrow. My question is can I possible remove some of the fat if it seems too much for me and can I use 2 eggs instead of 3?

Hi, shuggins123. I see from your menu that you are indeed not on the keto route. Is the amount of food in your menu more than what you were eating before (when not dieting)? Are you physically active?

I am new and feeling overwhelmed. The allowed calories seems too high for me. I need to buckle down and get started. I am NOT Keto dieting. Too difficult and hard on my kidneys. Ok for many other people.

Hi, Sprout22, and welcome. The “vegetarian” and “non-dairy” selections you made add up to an essentially vegan diet – just use the swap function to change out any egg-inclusive dishes, or substitute egg replacements as you wish (e.g., tofu or chickpea flour for scrambled eggs, flaxseed for yolks as binding agents, etc.). If you would like more guidance with this, please let me know.

Hi, Kjd1811. That’s 120 kilocalories from carbohydrates – the gram number is closer to 30.
