| | Lol Apensa…you are a ratbag mate!!! No I need free foods!!! Nothing tasty!!! Lol…. |
| | Ohhhhhh, Seaborn…..what a temptress you are…….Sour Chream and chive potato chips…..Yummmm!!! You know, there was a cook back when I was in the army. He made a super cottege cheese salad just using cottage cheese, onions and coursly ground black pepper. I’ll bet if you choose the right cottege cheese, this would make a terrific snack…………..IF, you like onions. Now I’m made myself hungry……good, it is dinner time. |
| | JACKIE…what a pickle you got yourself into! Good on you for turning into a positive for yourself! As I read your account, I had a comedy running through my mind…hahaha…it reminds me of something from one of the Pommie comedies we have seen…but you are in it!!! Lol…..hahahhah… |
| | Crikey Olive…don’t give in to self-pity!!! That is the enemy!!! We have been backing eachother up on here since the beginning of the year….and we are trying to back you up as well! We are right behind you! Apensa is right….try some free foods….that is what I have to do it too. I hate them….I would rather sit down and munch on a packet of Sour Cream and Chives potato chips, but I need to get the weight off my joints! It is killing me, and I will be in an early grave and miss out on too much if I don’t get it off. Let these people help you love. It is so easy to give in to hopelessness….doing this is very tough! But it will only work if YOU keep up your part and I keep it up my part, and part of that is pushing eachother….c’mon mate….join me and the rest in this battle. |
| | Hey, don’t make yourself miserable Olive. Try some less damaging food at night if you have to nibble. How about cucumber sticks or celery or even some goat cheese on SWG bread. A small handful of almonds stretched out while watching TV or whatever you do at night. Maybe a salad with Olive Oil and vinegar…..just try to stay away from the sweets, Ice cream….high cal stuff. Am I ok with this advice, Ossie? |
| | Thanks for trying to help. I tried eating more protein early in the day but I can’t get a handle on the night binging. I’m giving up |
| | Evening all, good to see you on board cindy, thanks for the tip on migraines will mention that when I have my neurologist appointment. I’m trying to find out why I’ve been suffering headaches for a few years now. |
| | Welcome, Cindy |
| | Good Morning Everyone, I am new to this site. I went gluten free due to migraine headaches about 18 months ago and have lost over 50 pounds. I found this site as I was looking for some juicing recipes. I was so happy to find a Gluten free option with new ideas. Looking forward to the journey with you all |
| | Now you have me……I keep thinking about what would be the last thing I want to see…………….but i’m a guy….LOL |
| | Jackie…good to see you again, and thanks apensa for the grand children remark. I watched a documentary the other day about 2 young men who were going blind, and they asked the question, “If you were going blind, what would be the last thing you’d want to see?” My immediate reply was my grand children! 🙂 Yes, they are worth the couple of extra pounds. lol I hopped on here to share one of my favorite recipes for those who are looking for a different take on fresh fruit. Cut up an apple in bite size pieces, then a banana, a pear, and add some raisins and sliced almonds. Sprinkle with less than a teaspoon of stevia syrup and mix. I put about a half cup of the mixed fruit in a cute little dessert dish and enjoy! Save the rest for another time. Hope you like it! |

| | Stage……visiting grandkids is a GREAT excuse for going off the wagon!!! LOL |
| | I enjoyed reading everyones comments. The last couple of weeks have been a challenge for me, traveling for 10 days, and having family visit for 6. But I think I’m ready to settle down again and stick to the program a little better. I made pretty good choices of food during this time, but occasionally I went off the wagon with cookies and snacks that my grandkids insisted on having! lol I put two of the seven pounds back on, but I also have slowed down on my water intake, so I think some of it could be water retention. |
