| | nansealee: Read everything about this diet before you begin. This does take organization. It’s really not a diet. It’s an excellent food plan for life. Hope this teaches you to organize 🙂 |
| | Good luck, Nansealee!!! You’ll have lots of support here and the program allows you to make adjustments to fit your lifestyle. |
| | HI !!just joined today and am hoping this program will work for me!!I too am tired of the WW program.I’m just not very organized and the Tracking is NOT for me.I am 63 years old and have already had one hip replacement.I really need to lose approx 60 pounds ,as now i am having trouble with my knees.I really want to get HEALTHY so I can keep up with my 3 grandchildren, ages 20 months,5 yrs and 7 yrs!!!! |
| | Just returned from a family get-together, 1 week staying with family in a cabin near Pigeon Forge, TN. It was wonderful! Loved seeing all my grandkids enjoy each other — as well as my two sons together. Its been three years since we’ve all been together. I ate very carefully. I didn’t lose any weight, but I didn’t gain any either! Now its time to get down to business and start losing. Back to the menu planner! |
| | Hello I’m starting to work on a new me today 🙂 |
| | Hi skinnyribs, along side your menu are some buttons. click on the one that says View Menu exchanges and you will get some information there. Welcome and good luck, looks like you are doing fine so far! |
| | I’m soooooo pleased!!! I’ve lost 3lbs in my first week. |
| | Hey, I just noticed that “message” heading up along side our names at the top of the page. Is that to communicate between individuals? Has anyone used it? |
| | Jackiee…….I wish there was some sort of private message system attached to TDC. I hate to take up bandwidth for non dietary questions, but I understand all you are getting at. We are also watching our 9 year old twin grandsons and they occupy all of the little one’s time….LOL. My daughter is actually already on a healthy eating regimen. The pizza, cheese and salami that many people associate with Italians is almost a myth……but I do lose it when we visit over there…….soooooo tasty!!!! The knee is a day by day thing…thanks for asking. When it feels good, I over do it and I’m down and out the next day. I must admit though, I have been really good about fighting the temptation to nibble on contrary food items, but darn I sure enjoy that Vodka while it’s around…..LOL Sorry, folks about the chit chat. |
| | LOL APENSA, aww your wife will be in her glory with him about. I love when my folks come over, they take my daugther over the square (piazza) and sit opposite ends from each other, they then get her to run back and forth to each other with little messages…like ‘tell nonna he needs to remember take his pils when we get back’, then he tells her to tell nonna, ‘she could remind me when she’s setting the table for dinner’, ect ect, the little one quite happily runs back and forth with the little messages while they save some energy and use up lots of hers. It makes me laugh. You should try it. They have ask me to put them on my health eating plan next time their here. I laugh because they already eat like the menu planner every day anyway. hope your getting about better while their over. |
| | OK, Jackiee. I’ll look for your reminder if I survive the next several weeks. Quite an adjustment getting used to a five year old running around the house…..for me. Of course grandma is just eating it up…lol. |
| | Have been on the diet for one week and the first two days were a struggle. However, after doing the weekly shop I found the diet very adaptable. I didn’t weigh myself until yesterday and found I had lost 2 pounds! Amazing as I didn’t feel as though I had lost anything. Looking to loose again this week. I find that the morning and afternoon snacks I find they fill a void and keep one on track. Thank you for the plan and good luck keeping to the plan. Ptolemy22. |
| | APENSA – Cheers I ask again at the end of august when everything get back to normal here in Italy. Hope you have a great time during your daughter stay and that you jump back on the wagon when the holidays are over. |
| | Ossie, Paula, Lynn, and Jackie, everyone in fact, thank you so much for your support! Paula-You are right, this is a lifestyle change, not a diet. I have to remember this! I have to not overwhelm myself and start slowly. I like your idea of having the same thing during the week for breakfast, lunch, and the snacks, that could help me get used to things slowly and eventually this new lifestyle will be effortless for me too. 🙂 I admit, patience is something I have to work on. 🙁 Jackiee- It’s like you said, if I choose things I know first that will help, and make a list to look for the other stuff I can’t find yet. Also, carrying my snack in my purse and having it before shopping really worked! Lorraine, I can totally relate with the hot weather. Sometimes it’s hard to even go outside. I have a power walk video that I use that really helps me to get 1-2 miles of walking, and right in front of my t.v. 🙂 I can also relate to loosing weight with the WW and gaining it all back after getting tired of counting points, etc. I then moved to NutriSy which worked but I gained all the weight back when I couldn’t afford their food which was very limited on my vegetarian plan. I too got tired of all this, and thankfully found TDC. So you definitely will be in my thoughts and prayers as we start this new lifestyle journey together. 🙂 Chall- Good luck! You can do it! 🙂 |
| | A quick note about SWG breads … unless you are in a specialty store with a LOT of turnover of product, you won’t find it in the regular food aisles. It will be in the freezer sections. Hope that helps! |
