Hi, I’ve just joined and going through the menu planner, the morning breakfasts include shredded wheat, bran cereals etc, but there’s no mention of milk, are we meant to eat it dry?

Ossie – thank you for your answer. Any chance you have a great smoothie recipe you think is awesome to have. Smoothie can be fruit/veg/etc….

HairOil……..I love that name……You are right. The basics still hold true….watch what you eat, how much you eat and when you eat. I don’t need anyone to tell me that a greasy hamburger and French fries are not the best thing to eat….but God, they are soooooo good…..the program does give some great hints as to how to have your cake and eat it too

Okay, just over one week and I’m feeling a bit despondent – I’ve actually gained 2 lbs! Where am I going wrong? I’m following it more or less to the letter – measuring everything. A few evening meals I’ve had to be inventive with because of lack of ingredients – but still trying to keep the same theme going. It feels wrong to be eating so much thru the day, but I have to admit that my energy levels are so much better and in general I feel better. But I would like to shift some weight as well…

haha. I know what you mean. I went to the dollar store and purchased some of those cheapie bright colored plastic baskets. They fit perfectly into my fridge and hold a good number of those little bags!

Hi blessing, I do the same thing, I need to have a sorting system now, lots of little bags in the freezer! I put some in plastic trays so I can find them easier, but I’m not too organized 🙂

hi, Gina! I have seen this answer before. Yes, you can repeat a menu day to use up food. Another trick I use is to put the food in individual snack bags, labeled w/ the name of the dish and freeze it. It really helps so I don’t have to do so much cooking all the time! I just grab out the bag of the item I need, and it’s alreay measured or weighed!! I now have about 6 different menu items in my freezer! I love it!! 😉

I’m new also. Can you use the same menu two days in a row because I have food left over that will spoil if we don’t eat it. Thanks

Hi, southx, and welcome. Lamb will be added. It has not been a part of the planner due to the relatively high saturated fat content. If you have access to lean lamb, it can work. In the meantime, you can substitute lamb for beef.

Liz….welcome…..I think you will really enjoy this group and the program. There are a lot of friends that can help you and what is important, I think, is that you can get into the program as much as you like. Just the tips on the right and wrong foods is a great help. Good luck.
