Hi, Jackiee! I made that Tomato Broccoli Cheesy Potato Bake. I saved it in the fridge. It tasted very nice when reheated.

Can’t help you with the freezing thing but wanted to give you some support, Jackiee. This too will pass.

Thanks Bev, its soooo good to see you on here again. The guy did mean what he said, but I have put it behind me now and really I should be used to it by now. Just sometimes I find it difficult to take the blunt (bordering on darn right rude) talking here.

A few questions if anyone can help. Has anyone very tried freezing the Tomato Broccoli Cheesy Potato Bake and how was it? and would it be ok to swap one flavour of muffin for another on the menu? so that I don’t need to make to many different flavours in one week.

Goodmorning Sailors!!! Thought I would step on board the ship today!!! Hi Apensa! Chia! Ppeddle! Good to see you are still here….I even stopped checking in on you all, so have no idea how you are all going. Hi Ossie!
Jackie…I read what happened and I understand how you feel! Like you wanted the ground to open up and swallow you I am sure. I agree with Apensa love…that bloke may not have meant it that way, but then what was he saying if for anyway. Take no notice…you looked pretty good in those beach photos I saw love!!! Listen to the truth not the lies. I hope you are managing better today, and hope also your thyroid problem gets sorted again. xx

Thanks for the support Chia and Apensa. Luckily it didn’t get to me for long…yip he was Italian and speaking Italian (yeah I should know by now). Although the other mum did get on at him when I was walking away so that’s something. Today I had a happy day with my hubby and daughter down the beach after church, more importantly we all had a healthy picnic and the I had great satisfaction knowing that I didn’t binge eat last night when I felt low 🙂 that a first for me. Sorry for letting of steam last night but when it comes to my weight I don’t like sharing these things with my hubby and friends here, because they think I should just laugh it off and I know I should, it just not that easy every single time. Right I’ll shut up now and go generate a new menu, happy healthy eating all. (thanks again for the words of support they mean a lot to me). Hope you all have a great healthy week.

Chia, good advice for Jackiee.

Jackiee……..He was Italian, right? I rest my case. If he was speaking in English, there may be the possibility that he meant something other than the way it came out. I was raised in an Italian immigrant family and many times my mom and dad would speak to me in English but what they were trying to say, just did not come out right. Regardless, let it go by you like a passing breeze and stay focused on doing what you can and enjoying your family.

JACKIEE — Don’t let that man’s words bother you. He was very rude and nasty. His words come from the devil. Don’t pay attention to any words from the devil’s mouth. Only be concerned with God’s words, which are always loving. Just kick the thought of that man out of your life! Go on with your life and NEVER let negative words make you depressed. Depression is from Satan!!!

For those that read the article below that one of our members posted:

Hi everyone:

I found another interesting site of particular interest for people over 55. This one is about interval training but the site covers just about any other subjects for seniors.

http://elderlyseniorsolutions.blogspot.ca/2010/03/interval-training-for-seniors.html

—————–
Interval training is very effective but if you are not used to training at high intensities than my suggestion would be to start out slowly with intervals of 2-3 minute moderate pace and 1 minute higher paced. This will keep your heart rate up and allow you to slowly transition into shorter more intense intervals. If yall have any questions please let me know!

Hi all hope your all well. I Know this isn’t a question but just want to share as feel down. I found out today my thyroid levels are out so have had my meds adjusted again. This made me happy since I haven’t been losing and had started to gain weight again, anyway felt positive and took my healthy picnic to the local park with my daughter. Then I went for a coffee when she played in the park. Got speaking to another mum I know, we talked about our kids ect I said Angelina’s talking better now so I get a good chat now. A man then sat beside the other mum and said to her ‘she should go to the gym and chat’. How rude….and to be honest I know I shouldn’t let it get to me… but it has and I have felt sad and quite depressed all day now……fingers crossed this time next year I won’t have this problem

Hi, I’m just brand new and really excited to be doing this. I have just sorted out my menu for the week and I see that there is a lot of “Organic” this and “grass-fed” that. Being on a budget I can’t afford to buy this all the time. I realize that these are the best for you but is normal foods and meats ok

I see this all over “SWG” in this recipe she has written 1 SWG muffin, what is SWG ?

Hi, MaryShuck, and welcome. Trimmings for foods are usually extra, unless they don’t have a significant amount of carbohydrates, fats, or proteins. Typical waffle and pancake toppings are generally worth the following: 1 tablespoon of syrup or jam/jelly is one carbohydrate exchange (equal to a slice of bread), and 1 teaspoon of butter is a fat exchange (like an oil). You can pick these out of the rest of your day gradually; for example, the carbohydrate exchange can be made up for by slightly reducing the portions of starches at the rest of the meals, a tablespoon of rice or potato here, a cracker there, etc.
