| | Hi Ossie.. I seem to be having a bit of a weight loss issue… In the first 3 weeks or so I was losing weight nice and steady and now my lose has seemed to stall.. I am following the menu plan and wondering what I can do to kick start it back up.. Thank you |
| | I am not replying just letting you know I am here. I am a 71 female who has to have Hernia surgery done. I have to loose weight first or it is to dangerous to perform the surgery. So it has to be done, no matter what. I am trying and we will see the results. |
| | hello, I am new to the program and the chooses were many. I have a lap band and am diabetic Most days I cannot eat as much food is on these list (or I should not eat this much) I have a hard time eating bread and bread products. Most dairy creates flim in my throat area and food does not go down so easily. Should I chose the vegan menues or continue to work with the reagular menues? |
| | I received an email asking if I had gotten started and if I was having trouble getting started. Thanks for the support. I am on my 3rd day and doing well. It is more food than I usually eat so not at all hungry and sometimes can’t eat it all. I have been a vegetarian for 35 years so used to eating organic and healthy – just eating too much of the fattening vegie foods (Cheese, bread, snacks). I have Sjogren’s Syndrome which causes me to have huge teeth and gum problems so can’t chew nuts and crunchy foods, but I am trying to chop the nuts very fine and working around that problem. Otherwise, doing well and like the program. Hooray for the Trim Down Club! |
| | Hi, Chrissy – yes, organic broth is great. You can also add herbs to it, like bay leaf, ginger root, saffron, sliced garlic cloves, or whatever you like. |
| | Thank you Sharon, I will try it, flavoring the water, would cooking it in organic chicken broth work? |
| | Thanks Sharon |
| | Hi, Jenny. We are currently in the process of upgrading the recipes to include both. |
| | Can I change the measures used in the recipes from US to GB measurements |
| | Hi, Chrissy. Quinoa is generally prepared like rice. However, it is even more recommended to rinse before use and flavor the cooking water. |
| | Hi everyone, |
| | Hi, radijegg, and welcome. And thanks, Apensa. Yes, the intent is to give more leeway. I want to add that the first time going through the lists is the most cumbersome, and then here and there you might make small changes, but you can also keep using the same selections or even weekly menus. |
| | redijegg……I think Ossie will be able to give you a better explanation, but I think the program tries to give you as much leeway as possible and allows you to make choices among several options. At least that is the way I read it. I too feel it is too many choices but that is my take of it. |
| | Hello, I am a newly enrolled and am in the process of getting started. I have made a couple of menus, one with lots of things checked and one with things that I actually have on hand checked. I am currently on a different diet plan and intend to use it until I figure out this one. then I hope to gradually shift over. I think the diet planner is cumbersome and could be made easier to use. why do we have to check things for each meal? Why not just check foods we like once and let it plan from that? |
| | Thanks, BlessingCatcher and Apensa! 🙂 |
