| | Is there a specific reason why “rye crispbreads” are not an option for lunch on the menu planner? Sure would like to see them there. |
| | HELP. I cannot get the menu selection to work. I cannot eat 80 percent of these items like cereal and breads as I have diabetes type 2. I am pressing every button of every item and it still says NOT ENOUGH CARBS. I do not eat all the junk listed as protein i.e. hotdogs and I keep pressing the buttons. Soy is listed and in the blurb to sign up it is one food that is stated that one should never eat. Why is it even listed? I will try later, but at this point I am very disappointed in the system. I have lost 65 pounds on my own, but want to lose another 30/40 and I thought this might be the way. |
| | Hi, Kay and Montgom. The application has recently been in upgrade status, so things will settle down, we promise! Kay, you can eat the fruit whenever you want – we moved fruit to the snacks because people were complaining. However, I have logged your point, and we may change it back in the future. |
| | I have noticed in all of the menus that No fruit is an option at lunch. Is this for a reason. I eat a lot of fruit and it is convenient for me for lunch. I do try not to have it for every meal and snack. |
| | Hi Chia: I have only been on the program for 3 weeks, but have really noticed a dramatic improvement in my energy levels. Not quite used to this yet because I’ve been a couch potato for so long. I had knee replacements surgery last year, left on 8/2013 and the right on 10/2013. Can’t say the recovery has been easy [had a fall on Mother’s Day, stay away from cats that like to trip you], and it has set me back a bit. Hang in there and join me on this journey, we both know our weight gain hasn’t helped us, but I believe we can make great strides by just being true to ourselves [all that food doesn’t hurt either.] Praying the rehab goes well for you, and happy eating. :-] |
| | Hi, Kay. I have forwarded your query to tech support. In the meantime, please do take advantage of the swap function – just click on the food you want to change and select a new one. |
| | I am also continuing to be frustrated with the menus. Why would one want to eat a shake , glass of milk and ice cream for your snack along with a veggie? This is not practical to me. |
| | Kay……I can understand your disappointment in the progress you have made but please don’t get discouraged. Keep in mind that you are eating healthier and the unseen benefits from that are perhaps even more important than a figure on a scale. I am going through the same thing with no results but I have to admit I have not been as adherent to the menus and food items recommended. I fall off the wagon so much that they just decided to drag me along. But, being part of this group, I am making better choices especially when eating out. For the small investment you have made in a healthier lifestyle, your rate of return will out perform doing nothing. I encourage you to stay the course. There are plenty of leeway to make adjustments. Just stay happy and positive. And…….as always…..Do as I say, not as I do! |
| | I am disappointed in my weigh in after my second week..I gained a pound. I thought I followed the plan just as I did on the first week. I also exercise regularly. Is this typical. I am discouraged. |
| | Hi, Ernislost, and welcome! Click on the “Grocery List” function (shopping cart icon) in the toolbar just above your finished menu (third icon from the right). |
| | im a today newbie. how do you print food lists for shopping? |
| | You just hang in there, Chia…….you will be fine and from what I hear from others, wonder why you did not have it done sooner. Make sure you try to stay on a healthy diet while recuperating. Again and as always…..do as I say, not as I do. LOL |
| | APENSA – Surgery was Monday, Aug 4th. On Aug 8th I left the hospital and went to our local hospital where they have a Skilled Care Unit if you need more help before you go to your home, which I did/do for a while. Medicare needs to approve it though and they did. I also know people who had both at the same time done, but I don’t know how they could do that. You need one good one to help you get around. I’m not that strong of a person. I will be so happy to just get this one done and working again 🙂 |
| | CHIA….I sent you a message. I feel for what you must be going through. |
| | Hi, Cindy. Sorry for the delay (thanks, Apensa & Chia!). According to the weight you posted in your profile and Adult B being 170 lbs (and all else being equal), you would both follow the same meal pattern. |
