Hi, Bengalady. The goal is to keep you from being hungry – don’t worry about getting in all of the starchy carbohydrates if you start to feel too full. It’s better that you’re in touch with your hunger and satiety signals.
Note that you don’t need to buy expensive versions of foods to make this work – those are just recommendations for an ideal. As long as you use relatively whole, minimally processed foods without artificial ingredients, you will be benefiting. You also don’t need to use fancy recipes – simple steaming, roasting, and sauteing in olive oil with herbs and spices is absolutely plenty. If you would like more guidance with this, please do repost here, and I will get back to you.

Wow, just hope I can do this. I usually don’t eat nearly this much food, and I hat cooking….most of stuff doesn’t come out. I’m trying to stay away from processed food, so guess I’ll have to learn.
Also, I think will be more than I can afford……
I’ll give it a try though, best I can.
I don’t see how one can loose weight with this.

Hi, ciokolomokolo. We generally recommend at least three meals a day, but we do offer a route in which one of those meals is a smaller snack. Even if you don’t call that intermittent fasting, that’s our route that likely will ensure your nutritional needs are being met while your menu is most comfortable for your lifestyle. To get this, just select it in your profile, then generate a new menu. You can ignore the scheduling recommendations (number of hours to fast, for example), of course.

Hi, SandySandy. Happy Yom HaAtzmaut! Yes, dry red wine is fine in moderation – a 130 ml glass is considered a serving, and can substitute for your evening snack.

and wine. is there any way to have a glass of red wine once a week? once a month? Happy 72nd Independence Day to Israel today!

Hi, SandySandy. You can switch meals as often as you like, and even repeat whole days. Unless you you don’t have a condition that is sensitive to carbohydrates (diabetes, prediabetes, fatty liver, high triglycerides, etc.), we recommend not having more than 3 servings of a starchy carbohydrate at a meal – but if your body does not react badly, you can switch around as you like (just don’t load up too much at night, unless that’s when you are physically active).
With regard to your last question, the starchy carbohydrate items are the ones that you can cut back on. Will that work for you? I’m glad to read that you are so in tune with your satiety signals!

and my last question for today 🙂
sometimes there is way too much food (usually carbs). if i eat it all, i will gag, literally. as long as i am sated, can i take something off? and if i do, which food group should it come from?

SandySandy 5 years ago

Hi another question: can I take a carb, for example, from my snack and add it to my lunch and just not eat a carb for my snack?

SandySandy 5 years ago

Hi Can I switch meals? for example lunch and dinner? or the two snack? or does the food have to be eaten in the order you put them?

Ossie-Sharon 5 years ago

Hi, Roonie. You can start with any day you want, use them in any order you want, and even repeat them as often as you want.

Hi, SandySandy. I have forwarded your query to tech support. Someone will get back to you soon.

hi i need to see the food amounts in grams, not ounces. How do i do that? my settings in my profile are on kg and cm, but that doesn’t change anything. i cannot constantly look up and exchange ounces for grams.
