Hi, issy50. Good for you for drinking well! Regarding your frequency, if you are concerned, I would suggest you check with a health care professional. There are many factors that go into whether that is normal or OK.

Hi, All! I’m new here! So far, so good! Am enjoying the eating plan. As regards water, I keep a jug full of purified water on the windowsill over my kitchen sink. If I feel a little hungry, where I would normally snack, now I squeeze some lemon into a glass of water and I find it quells the hunger pangs. I’m more of an emotional eater, so when I say “hunger”, I should really say “false hunger”. I’m finding the eating plan very satisfying.

Hi, Spacebread. Crystal Light contains artificial sweeteners, so it is not recommended in this program. A better choice would be the juice from a lemon or lime, water, and a natural no-carb sweetener such as monk fruit.

Are the crystal light packets OK to use?

Hi, KimDawn72. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend MiO, as it contains artificial ingredients and concentrated syrups. The best way to flavor water is to squeeze in some citrus juice (lemon or lime work best) and add a natural carb-free sweetener such as monk fruit or xylitol.

I don’t like plain water. I have been using a product called MIO, it flavors the water. I would like to know is it ok to add this to the water or am I not getting the proper water intake and hurting the healthy living I am trying to strive for.

Simple filtered tap water is best IMO

I´m new to the program, been around for about a week. Pretty much having the same struggles figuring out the menus.
BUT I have figured out how to get used to drinking water. I ate a lot of chips one day – yes this totally blew the diet, and drank only water. I’ve had no problem drinking enough water ever since. (Is this what they call total immersion?)

I follow a simple rule. Drink half your body weight in ounces everyday. Note you have to build up to that amount. Your body will thank you.

A glass of water is 8 fluid ounces or 240 ml.

Question on size of glass of water…Ten glasses of water per day, how many oz should each glass be?

Thanks from San Francisco Bay Area

Hi, Lori. It depends which “simple sugars” you use. Most of these, as well as honey, still impact metabolism somewhat unfavorably – blood sugar, blood fats, liver, etc. and can add up at the end of the day. If you want to try it with coconut sugar or xylitol, that’s fine. Coconut sugar is the only “simple” sugar currently recommended in the program, because it does have benefits with minimal negative impact. Xylitol is in another class altogether. You can check out a brief comparison of sugars and substitutes here https://www.trimdownclub.com/the-best-way-to-sweeten-your-tea-2/.

I like to check out ideas on Pintrest and have noticed some recipes for infused waters. Most of them have no sugar but some add honey or “simple sugar” to sweeten. Would these be acceptable subs?

PropelWater has artificial sweeteners and a preservative, so not the best choice. Sorry.
