![]() | Hi, skwille1. It’s not the best option, but also not the worst. Macadamia nut oil would be preferable – it has a mild buttery flavor and is a very healthy choice. |
![]() | Can you use “I can’t believe its not butter” spray on your popcorn? |
![]() | Hi, turtlehurder. Thanks for your kind words, and congratulations on your success. Don’t worry about being perfect here – the goal is to just do better than you did before, and feel comfortable with your healthier lifestyle. With regard to vegetable juice, yes, 8 fluid ounces would be a serving. |
![]() | Thank you Ossie. Also, how much if any would 8 oz,s of vegetable juice contribute to a “serving” of vegetables in one meal? |
![]() | Hi, turtlehurder. V-8 is just fine – note the ingredients list does not contain anything artificial. The only issue is that it is rather high in sodium – if you can find the low-sodium version, that would be best. |
![]() | Question Ossie. I noticed vegetable juice on the vegetable list. I love vegetable juice but I’m sure the brands I use such as V-8 aren’t really that healthy. What should I look for when buying it? |
![]() | Hi, turtleherder. Lipton is actually not of very high potency. In that case, the diet types do tend to be better. You want to find something called sencha, gunpowder, or wu long (also known as oolong). |
![]() | Hey Ossie. what I meant to ask was, is diet green tea better than regular green tea. My store carries both in Lipton brand. Do you recommend this? |
![]() | Hi, turtlehurder. Yes, pure green tea (sometimes called “diet”) is better than regular black tea. About 3-4 cups a day is considered a safe limit, though some people do fine with about 7 cups. |
![]() | Thanks Ossie. Another off the subject question. Is diet green tea better than regular and how much do you recommend daily? |
![]() | Hi, turtlehurder. Vinegar is a “free” food, so we don’t define a limit for it. |
![]() | Is it okay to use a malt or red wine vinegar on garden salads and if so how much should I use? |
