Hi, GrandmaJudy. In your profile, select low-cholesterol and low-sugar options (in the lower right-hand corner) – the Menu Planner lists will provide fitting foods, and you can maximize your score by choosing more items in the lighter blues.
Regarding whey protein, we don’t really recommend isolated nutrients like that for the bigger nutrients. It is preferred that you get your protein from whole foods, including dairy. In general this program provides high-protein menus, so no worries there.

Okay 3rd day. When I did my weekly planner it said that I wa in the 90%. I did some changes and it still put me up there. Can you plan a
diet for me that is low cholesterol and low sugar?
Another question is what about whey protein. Is that okay for a snack? Thanks really looking forward to being successful..grandmajudy64

Hi Tracey,

If you feel like there’s too much food in your personal menu plan, it’s because most weight loss diets actually give you less than your body needs, which results in hunger and later rebound weight gain after the initial weight loss.

Crisps would be the equivalent 😉
This program is a way of life based on healthy eating, so it looks very different. Ease into it if you need to, but try not to cut back too much on quantity, or again, any weight loss will be followed by a rebound.

If you don’t like your final menu you can always repeat meals, or substitute meals by clicking on the rotating circles (to the right of each meal on your final menu plan).

Day 1 of week 1…..so far after following my planned menu, I feel I am over eating. Do I have to eat all the food lists set out on my menu,eg. 3 snacks??
Also when i picked chips….is that potato chips? Or crisps?

Hi sarahmiller1203,

Some members enjoy the to use the Ready to Go menu in the beginning weeks and gradually move on to the Menu Planner. Please feel free to move ahead if you are looking to plan your menu based on your selections.

Best of luck!

Do you have to use a Ready made menu the first week or is it ok it make your own?

Hi, vmschmied. As I noted to bruder24, there’s no pressure to choose foods you don’t like or know. The lists incorporate more common foods for the purpose of familiarity and comfort. If you feel some are missing, by all means list them, and I will get back to you.

Hi, bruder24. To increase your score, just select more foods in listed in lighter shades of blue. This doesn’t have to happen right away if you are new to the foods – just ease into it at your own pace. If you are already making better food choices, they you are on the right path!! Don’t worry about numbers or foods you don’t like. If you want to try new ones, that’s fine – but no pressure.

I also just signed up and I agree with Sassy and Christy that these menu items are not really normal foods I would eat. I a bit disappointed in the menus and the recipes are very time consuming. I wish I could of seen the menu and food selections before I signed up.

HI
I thought i was posting but find that no one is responding so not sure what’s going on but i’ll ask my questions here and hopefully someone will respond. it says that my menu should be 80%, mine comes up to 76%, so do i have to go back and change stuff until i get to 80%? Also i read another post and like me the member said there is alot of food choices they would not eat and i feel the same way but when i check to make changes there aren’t alot of choices that suit me. I have not followed my menu yet but it has helped me to make better food choices over the past 3 days. no chips or pop and more vegetables, so that has been good for me.

Thanks. I have done all that but it still seems far more than I would normally eat and what I do eat is generally very healthy food with the odd exception of two croissants at weekends.

Hi sassy21,

I understand your concern. Here are some suggestions to help you get the perfect meal plan that fits you and not the other way around!

1. In order to make changes to specific foods in your menu plan, simply click on “Apps”, followed by “Menu History”. Then, select the menu you would like to edit by clicking on “View”.

2. Once your menu appears, click on the food you would like to replace, and a list will appear with alternative choices that you can choose from.

3. Additionally, to change an entire meal you can click on the white rotating arrows to the right of the meal.

4. If you would like to create a completely new menu, click on the “Apple” logo entitled “My Food Choices” to return to create a new menu by deselecting and selecting foods that you want. If you choose this method don’t forget to click the “Save and Create Menu” button afterwards.

5. If there is a food that you can’t find in the menu, why not make a suggestion by clicking on this link to suggest foods to add to the Menu Planner: https://www.trimdownclub.com/suggest-foods/

Hope this helps 😉
