![]() | Hi I’m a newbie too, I’m , 55, 4″ 10″, pre-diabetic and need to lose 30 – 50 lbs. I also have a lot of food allergies; to facilitate my allergy meds, I do not eat dairy & hate yogurt, even the soy brands…btw my Dr also does not want me to use soy products and restrict my intake of onions, carrots, tomatoes (which I HATE anyway) and fruits–all way too high in sugar as my body metabolizes everything into stored fat. I’ve tried everything from vegan to proper food combining, it all worked at first… Help! I need answers! What’s a girl who lives with “THE Carb Nazi” to do? |
![]() | I too have diabetes type 2, and I agree that I am responsible for taking control of my diabetes. However I can’t do that without the proper information, and if a recipe doesn’t tell me what a portion size is or how many grams of sugar or carbs are in that serving I don’t have the information I need to control my diabetes. I also have another disease that requires me to tightly control my salt intake. I can do that pretty much by not using salt in the recipes. But the sugar content is very much needed. Nancy |

![]() | The menus are actually quite low in carbs, about 40-45% of calories, where usual eating patterns are 50-65%. In addition, most of the carbs here are high in fiber. The program was designed specifically to balance blood glucose and insulin metabolism. |
![]() | I am a Type II diabetic and just starting this program. Sometimes the options seem to be more carbs than I would normally allow. As long as my blood sugars stay within a good range, should I continue to follow the menu or is there some way to modify the menu that is selected for me? |

Have been on several other Diet Programs on-line that have gone so far & the stopped. I have lost between 10- 12 lbs, but have stopped losing in January. Winter is a hard 3 months for Me since I am a Gardener in Zone 5b. Hopefully I can get the Program working for Me. |

![]() | Rosemary, you will need to be in charge of your diabetes. I counted the carbs for my day one and it was about double what I would allow myself normally, But I gave the appropriate amount of insulin for the carbs and all seems to be ok. I am hoping the blending of the food will help me be more fit. I don’t need to lose weight but rather need to eat healthier. I will watch my glucose numbers and update if I see any problems. |
