Ossie-Sharon 10 years ago | Hi, LittlePeppah. We actually don’t recommend agave, as it tends to have a negative effect on blood fats and the liver, in ways that can work against your efforts here. You can read about the sweeteners we do and don’t recommend here: https://www.trimdownclub.com/the-best-way-to-sweeten-your-tea-2/. |
littlepeppah 10 years ago | Healthy option or not? It has been my understanding for several years now, that agave is a healthy alternative to sugar. I was told by several that it does not cause blood sugar levels to fluctuate, as it is digested by the body slower than other refined sugars. I love the taste of it over artificial sweeteners and even steevia. I know when I have steevia in my one cup of coffee each week (quite frankly, it ruins it). I have never heard of Monk Fruit before now, so I will check that out as an alternative. Does anyone have further information on agave nectar? |
