![]() | Hi im in the UK and al though I found it difficult at first to know what foods were I wrote a list and looked them up on the internet, I have found a few things by looking in the gluten free section of my supermarket and Holland and barrett online also have some. I got a couple of jugs from my supermarket that have cups and oz on them also measuring spoons this has made things easier. |
![]() | Yes I subscribed and have struggled – I am just trying to ensure food dies not have more than 5g of sugar and not eat processed food and hardly eating bread – u can buy the American items in line whilst some of them do not seem to expensive the postage and packages double the price sara |
![]() | Dear UK members, We have just expanded the list of shops that carry the foods we recommend. Please note that all the foods are found in both the US and the UK, but some may be new to many people, and so appear to be entirely “foreign”. Here is a link to the expanded list: If you have any further suggestions feel free to contact-us via the link at the bottom of this page. To Your Success! |
![]() | Thank you fiona50 for pointing me to ossies tips. |
![]() | Hi to all that have repied. My problem with swapping items and substituting with possible Aussie equivelents is that i am not a nutritionalist and therefore don’t now if they are in fact equal. That’s why i forked out my hard earned cash on this program in the first place. So someone qualified could help me…..extremely disappointed. This is definately an American program. With the amount of research and adjustment required for me to make this work i may as well just stick to weight watchers. |
![]() | Jgau765…Ossie s list is on the blog title “how good is this programme” page 2 🙂 |
![]() | Hi fiona50, can you direct me to Ossie? I can’t find her tips. |
![]() | Hi Roslee, how can that be? |
![]() | Hi, I’m in uk Liverpool. Just got my diet and I’m supposed to have a tbsp of tomato ketchup for my dinner tonight, that’s really going to fill me up. |
![]() | Hi I am in the UK and cook a lot and I am finding it difficult that there is no UK choises given, like the cheese and milk and allt the SWG which I have never seen in the UK |
![]() | I am living in the US and very excited to get going over here with this program. I feel your pain with the translation of the foods etc having purchased a vegetarian cookbook written by a chef living in England. I can never find the ingredients so I look longingly at the pictures only. This site is very impressive and EXACTLY the type of program I have been looking for. I am hopeful that it will only improve with time. Keep tuned in and don’t lose hope. I’m also a fan at improvising with recipes or just leaving out something if I don’t have it |
![]() | I am having the same problem. Think it is no different from other programs not sjure ill stay |
![]() | Hello UK newbies … I’m in UK and new too 🙂 just found links on how good is this programme post on page 1 I think … Lady called Ossie has posted some very helpful links to online “good” foods here in UK … Hope you find them helpful I’m gonna give it a try:-) |
![]() | Hi francisJill, it’s great to find someone in the uk doing this. I am trying the 14 day starter but am mixing it about a bit, as you say, it’s not that straightforward. It took me a while to discover that kamut is couscous, why don’t they state the alternative names for us Brits. Still no direct reply from them re: my queries. Regards, jgau |
![]() | Hi Jgau. I am in the UK too, Hastings. Have been on the diet for a week now and found it very frustrating to start with – US weights, what on earth are ‘collard greens’, raw butter (illegal here); and very unsure how much leeway I have with my menu choices to make them edible. Still getting the hang of it, but will persevere and make my own adjustments and substitutions. Good luck. |
