This list should help you with choices for your snacks. 3 cups of Skinnypop popcorn and 2 string cheese sticks with a cup of spicy v-8 over ice is one of my favorite snacks. Depending on your carbs/fat/protein fruit allotments will determine your snacks. I love whole grain crackers from Sam’s with cheese and a pear or an apple, celery with peanut butter and raisin(ants on a log), cottage cheese with apple, So many to choose from… Just use your imagination to fill in the blanks! Hope this helps.

https://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists/ This is an invaluable list. I printed mine out and keep it by my chair. It is the exchange li sts/subsitutions list …whatever you want to call it!!

Hi, Hadiza, and welcome! Just ease into the program – take your time, get used to things, start with what you have at home, and make small changes (they will add up!). You don’t need to go to the gym to get in shape – even doing exercises in front of the TV, including just walking in place for the length of a half-hour show, can be very good for and to you. Since you need to prepared meals and snacks for your kids, this is a great time to get the whole family into healthy eating and a gradual pace. Even if the food isn’t perfect, remember that you can dress it up for yourself by cutting down those portions, and making up the difference with fruits and vegetables. Each time you do anything that can affect your health, just think: “how can I make this even a little bit better). Eventually, it will become second nature.
The first step may be going through the Menu Planner, and arranging a diet based on what you have at home. Then gradually upgrade to whole grains as you run out, even mixing half-and-half until you and your kids get used to them. Since we encourage food prep from scratch from whole foods as much as possible, keep it as simple as possible.

Hi all. I joined a week ago but feeling very overwhelmed as I have a busy, and chaotic life with 2 small kids. To sure where to begin? Also joined the gym but not regularly going and bought a fitbug bracelet which I still cannot figure out how to use. I guess I just need some direction. Thanks.
