I have a chocolate pea protein I get at VITAMIN WORLD. i mix it with 8 ounces of chocolate almond milk. I like to
Cut banana and freeze 1/2 in snack bags. I but them in the blender with shake.
My question is would this be a meal or a snack?

Hi, fabfair. Yes, but please do try to find products based on whole foods, without artificial ingredients. The following are examples of the types of products we favor:

http://orgain.com/products/organic-vegan-nutritional-shakes/

You don’t necessarily have to get these specific products, but just note the ingredients list.

This is my first week on the diet and I have several questions but this was one of them. I have 3 children diagnosed with Autism and I am struggling to be able to make the snacks some times. In this circumstance, would a protein shake or bar be acceptable?

Hi, you two. We don’t generally recommend protein shakes because we prefer that you use whole foods. This program is quite high in protein, so there really isn’t a need. However, if you really enjoy it, then I would suggest something based on whole foods. Zeal has some artificial ingredients that may work against your efforts here. An example of an ingredients list we favor would look something like the following:
Orgain Organic Protein Blend from CostCo (Organic Brown Rice Protein, Organic Sprouted Chia Seed, Organic Hemp Protein, Organic Pea Protein), Organic High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Organic Erythritol, Organic Rice Dextrins, Organic Cocoa, Organic Acacia Gum, Organic Inulin, Organic Natural Flavors, Organic Guar Gum, Xanthan Gum
or

Can I use a whey protein shake on this diet? Each serving has 100 calories
(12 from fat), 8 carbs( 5.0 dietary fiber and 3.0 sugars), 14 g Protein. It
can be mixed with 1 cup of water or almond milk, and other fruits or veggies
can be added. I particularly like 1/2 banana in it. The product name is
Zeal protein shake, and it is sold as a diet product. Could this be used as
a complete breakfast substitution?
