![]() | Hi, isabeaulandry. We would always encourage you to cut back on simple carbs as much as possible. If you select the foods in the lightest blues in the Menu Planner lists, that will take care of it. If you want to replace your starchy carbs with things like vegetables, that’s fine, too. As far as a minimum, there is one, and the replacing your starchy carbs with green vegetables will get you there. |
![]() | I’m on week 6. I did very well the first 5 weeks on this program, lost 5 lbs. I’m still following the program and eating the amounts recommended and have put two pound back on. Is there is a daily minimum recommended? I am also Gluten, egg, soy and cow dairy free. Should I eliminate the simple carbs or replace them with whole foods? |
![]() | Hi, Tony. The menu is actually low-carb, providing about 45% of energy as carbohydrates, even less as available carbohydrates. If you want to substitute some of the starchier items with protein and/or vegetables, that’s fine. |
![]() | Th amount of carbs is too much in this food plan! I will look like the Goodyear blimp if I eat all of them. |
![]() | Hey Group! I have been coming up with ideas and ways to set my menu. I use some of the menus choices they give me. However, I do not eat all the food. I eat enough to keep me full; keeping my fruit, grains, omega 3 fatty acids and vegetables and salad in my diet. Boston lettuce and Bok Choy work for me. If you feel you haven’t added enough fat in your diet, put about 1 to 1/2 oz. of cheese in your salad. The best salad dressing is: Classic Expressions. I use Classic Vinaigrete! You also can use it for a Marinade. Use this instead of olive oil. You can still EVO if you wish. Although my menus are MOST CONFUSING and way too much food, I have found out that we only will lose about one to two pounds per/week. I want my school girl figure back sooner than later. LOL! At 61 y/o, I need to get on the ball. I am a retired Registered Nurse, I do have some advantage on these menus. I paid very little for this program, with that said; we can use our imagination and still meet our goals…. Don’t let this program scare you. We DO NOT HAVE TO EAT ALL THE FOOD THE SAY WE NEED TOO… We need to use common sense and creativity with our menus.. Hope this helps. Good luck to us all… The crazy Nurse From Ohio… HUGS! |
![]() | Hi, Marylee. Don’t fight it. It’s much better that you are in tune with your satiety signals, which are as good as gold here. You can definitely cut back here and there – just go with what works for you (just try to get in a total of 5 fruits+vegetables and 3 calcium-rich foods/beverages per day). |
![]() | Way to much food for me. I read in another topic that it should all be eaten because it is necessary to balance carbs and protein which helps blood sugar stabilization. So I tried. The first night I got a stomach ache, the 2nd the same thing and I literally had to make myself eat it all. The third night the stomach ache turned into horrific cramps that were pretty constant. Finally I started vomiting and the cramping eased around 4am. That was Wednesday night. My gut is still very tender and bloated. I ate nothing on thursday and very little yesterday and today. My Dr. told me no fiber, fats or dairy for a week and to see him on Monday if I’m not feeling better. I’m off the plan but I want everyone to know not to over do it. If you can’t eat it all, don’t force it like I did. It’s totally not worth it! |
![]() | I feel this way too. Too much food on the menus. I feel better about eating healthier foods and my energy level is up BUT…I’m starting my eighth week and have only lost 2 lbs. I work out 3 times a week with exercise DVD’s or walking on tread mill. I was expecting more progress by this time. |
![]() | Hey Guy, |
![]() | I also want too add, some of these foods here in Ohio are outrageously high. So I piece meal my menus with Omega 3’s and other needed nutrition. |
![]() | Lincoln, I have been doing the same. If you change your weight, your food menu changes. I was told this by someone in the forum. I eat what I think is necessary for my diet. I also do food exchanges. Tonight I am to have 2 cups of beef potato stew. Well please! Give us a break!!! lol. I exchanged Talapia baked, with salad and a green veg. |
![]() | I too can not eat all the food on the menu, it is just way to much for me to eat. I started just eating some from each portion until I am full. I assume this is OK? |
![]() | Hi, Guy. If it is too much, you can change your weight in your profile to 230 lbs, and you will get less food. If it is still a struggle, please do repost. |
![]() | How can we get all this food in, in one day? Do we need to eat all this food? I am hit skipping on some things on the menu. Trying to get the right things in my diet. |
