Hi, jjhenkel. That solution does seem to work for most people, but be very conscious to eat more when you are most active, and pay attention if you find yourself hungry or with the “munchies” toward the end of the day.
Having said that, do take care to not cut down to less than 5 total combined servings of fruits and vegetables, or less than 3 servings of calcium rich foods per day.

I am new today and it just seems as though the menu is really high in caloric value. Would it be okay to start off by cutting each item by 25%?
