If your breads are 100% or sprouted whole grain and high in fiber, and if you eat them with a good source of protein, no worries. The program is overall rather low in carbs (40-45% of energy).

I received my first menu and it looks great. I am going to start tomorrow, Mon. 1/28/13, but I just have one question: on one of the meals it has pizza plus 1/2 a pita pocket. Why would there be two items with “bread” in one meal? Is this a mistake? I am not going to eat both because it sounds like too much. I am very much looking forward to starting this program. I was just able to go shopping yesterday and wanted to start on the Monday. Wish me luck. KD
