Ossie-Sharon 10 years ago | Hi, caschroeder. The following are answers to your questions: 1. On the weekends, you can definitely combine breakfast and the first snack. 2. Steel-cut oats are a little closer to “whole” oats, but old-fashioned rolled are definitely the next best thing. 3. We are currently working on a way to search the forums – sorry for the delay. 4. You can definitely use the teaspoon of honey 🙂 |
caschroeder 10 years ago | I just remembered another question 🙂 4) Under “free spread” there is 1 tsp 100% fruit jam/jelly would it be OK if I did 1 tsp local honey instead. |
caschroeder 10 years ago | So far I’m doing pretty good with eating regularly and adding additional veggies to my meals (always been an issue for me since I’m not fond of most veggies 🙂 ). I’ve found that making my own meal plan using the advanced planner is definitely for me. I may not have a lot of variety but it’s all stuff I know I will eat. I figure I can add variety as I go. I’ve had a few slips but I’m feeling pretty confident about continuing and improving. I do have a few questions though. 1) Due to various reasons I don’t typically eat breakfast on the weekends until 9:30ish, sometimes even later. Eating earlier (except maybe a small snack) isn’t really an option. What should I do with my meals? Should I combine my first snack with breakfast and lunch, should I skip something? 2) What is the difference between old fashioned rolled oats and steel cut oats? I have rolled oats and the package says “100% whole grain” so I was just wondering if there was a benefit to the steel cut variety. 3) Is there any way to search the forums? I find I sometime have questions that have probably already been asked (like the oatmeal question) but I can’t find a way to search the forums to find and answer. Thanks, Carol |
