![]() | Hi, kbveduin. Yes they are too processed for us to recommend, sorry. We have a vegan burger recipe (https://www.trimdownclub.com/recipe/better-beet-burger/), and will be posting a simpler one very soon. For the crumbles, try soaking and partially cooking (meaning only just barely tender) brown or green lentils and grinding them in a food processor with cooked mushrooms and seasonings (i.e. taco seasonings) for just few seconds until you get the desired texture. It sounds like a nuisance, but you can make a large amount and freeze individual servings. If you want to do this with soybeans, it is a bit more time-consuming – just let me know, and I’ll post instructions. |
![]() | I eat Boca burgers and the crumbles (make taco salads with it). Are these products in the “don’t eat” category? |
![]() | Hi, reallife. The 5 things are examples of overly processed or refined forms of popular foods, whereas we try to encourage people to use healthier versions (rather than give up favorites altogether). Soy that is organic and not overly processed with chemicals (such as milk, tofu, and fermented types like tempeh and fuyu) are fine. |
![]() | I was wondering why soy milk was a choice for my menu when it was one of the 5 things we are not supposed to drink.??? |
