| | I’m with Zach – I’m having trouble fitting in all the meals. I’m at home a lot so I think I will put the oven timer on and see if that helps. I’m also going to look for a watch with an alarm. |
| | Good info frienda. Think 6 meals might be a good thing to try |
| | Ever since I started the six smaller meals throughout the day instead of the ‘traditional’ three larger meals a day, I’ve found myself more even keel through the day and I don’t get as fatigued as I previously did. I suppose the fatigue was due to spikes and drops in blood sugar levels. Even with eating more often, I think I’m eating less over all than normal. But I do have to remind myself to eat at least something every 2.5 to 3 hours. Not completely used to it yet. |
| | Wow! Thanks ladies. This really helps. I watched the recent Horizon programme, sugar vs fat with the identical twins which reiterates all of the learn ngs here. The most important factor for me, apart from having regular food intake, is the need to increase my protein intake |
| | Every 2-3 hours reminds me of a newborn nursing schedule. Guess I’ll play the baby. Funny when I nursed I was extremely conscious of drinking whenever I fed the baby. I also ate better. |
| | Nicole I ‘m the same way. I have to have my coffee and wait a bit. You wind up eating about every 2.5 hours. to keepyour blood sugar even! |
| | What times of day are recommended for the meals and snacks if for instance I eat breakfast at 8? (I get up early but I am not hungry.) |
| | Nicole, You have three meals and three pretty big snacks. this is based on the American Diabetic Association idet paln recommendations to keep your blood sugar levels even. It is fantastic!! I’ve tried them all!!! This is by far the healthiest! |
| | Hi, day 1 completed, but can someone clarify just what 6 meals a day means? I used to have breakfast at 6.45am, lunch at 12.45, dinner at 5.30 and go to bed at 10pm. Is there a time in the day after which I should not eat or do I take my waking hours (15) and eat every 2.5 hours. Sorry if I’m being a little dense but I’ve tried Atkins, Cambridge, juice diets etc and have regained my weight after 5 years, so I am very keen to learn new tricks and succeed. |
