Hi, dorobill. Nuts and seasonal fruits make an excellent snack. That combination is actually recommended in this program for snacks, along with yogurt.

Hi, Dave714. Three meals a day is fine, but if you wish to use your menus here, they will need to be adjusted to ensure you get all of your daily nutrients. To make your menu give you fewer meals per day, just click on the circular arrow icon to the right of the header of the meal you want to keep. You will be brought to the subapplication, where you can build your menus from scratch according to the foods you like and the amounts of each food group allotted to you. Since you will be combining two meals into one, the system will tell you that you are going over your limits, but just ignore that as long as you don’t surpass your daily totals (you can see these by clicking on “Exchange mode” in the toolbar above your menu). The snacks can’t be deleted, but you can either ignore them, or minimize them by replacing them with something generic like “Vegetables of Your Choice.”
You don’t necessarily need to do this for every day – you can make a couple of menus and repeat them, replacing foods here and there with others in the same food group.
You can also minimize the number of meals manually by having snack foods at the nearby meals, but instead of many different foods, you can increase the amounts of foods within the same group. Using the Monday of your current menu as an example, you could move the afternoon egg to breakfast and increase the yogurt to a full cup (240 ml) instead of the beans later in the day, move the morning snack fruit to lunch and move the evening avocado to lunch as a spread for the bread, have 150 g of pork at dinner instead of the current 120 g and the salmon at the evening snack, and have dressing or sauce for your vegetables at dinner.

i rarely need anything between meals. is the three meals a day a healthy diet or does it lack anything

Hi, Dave. Is there a specific reason you are not eating the snacks? They are designed to provide a significant portion of your nutritional needs, so if you only want to eat three times per day, then your menu will need to be adjusted.

I am eating the meals only – is that right
